Xavier alum here. I've been really impressed by Pat Kelsey so far in his coaching career. We got Miller back (thank you sweet baby Jesus) and probably aren't looking for another coach for a while, but I'd love to give Kelsey a look down the road if X changes coaches as he's an X alum. Good luck to y'all in the tournament.
He’s been great. The team plays so well together. I can’t imagine he stays long if he keeps up these performances

Marquette wins the Big East outright for the first time ever... plenty of seats open on the bandwagon!

This season was completely unexpected. We were ranked 9th in the preseason in the Big East so just getting to the tournament would have been a wild success.

Also, if the inevitable happens with CFB becoming an EPL Champions league format. Can we bring back the old Big East?

As expected the CAA tournament has been great. Both semis Yesterday were close games, and as a Charleston fan, I almost passed out.

Please win tonight so the committee doesn't leave out a 30-win team for the first time ever.

Indiana State gave it a run, but lost by 1 to Bradley in the semifinals of the MVC Tourney. Best season we’ve had in almost a decade. Drake would’ve been tough for anyone in conference to beat in the finals, though. Go Trees!

I didn't know where Marquette was until I moved to Milwaukee many moons ago. Had beer dumped on me one of the many times ND didn't show up in a loss at the Bradley center. The entire fan base was all "we are your biggest rival" and shit and I as just "who TF are you and why do I care". Never saw ND win there usually in very ugly fashion - fucking cursed.

It wasn’t until I was in college and I saw a Bucks logo on the floor during an ND/Marquette game that I realized Marquette was t located in Marquette, MI.

Marquettes' rivals are odd. Our biggest rival is Wisconsin and yet a substantial portion of the student body is Wisconsin football fans. So because of that, we don't have a rival that we loathe so I guess ND gets that by default. I remember going to those mid-2000s games against ND and being extra heated. I think the Fiserv Forum has kind of tamed down the crowd a bit. Probably because the price of beer has been jacked up.

Oral Roberts kicked NDSU's teeth in last night from start to finish. Undefeated in conference play. They'll be a tough matchup for whatever 5 or 6 seed they are matched up with.

Jim Boeheim out at Syracuse. Adrian Autry named his replacement.

Patrick Ewing more than likely done at Georgetown. 7-25 this season and 6-25 last season and they haven't been competitive.

Colgate going dancing for the third year in a row.

That contract extension they gave Ewing after the 2021 Big East tournament was just idiotic. I get it Georgetown was relevant for a hot second and went dancing. However, they were immediately smoked by Colorado in the first round. On top of that, they never finished above 500 in Big East.

I could not figure what leverage he possibly had to get that deal. It's just stupidity on the part of these administrations.

Went to Nova vs Gtown last night at MSG. This is probably Nova's worse team and a decade and still looked like they were playing against a CYO squad. Embarrassing performance.

Good for you for going - hope to get that chance sometime to watch that tourney in that building.

I turned that game on with about 5 minutes left in the first half. Turned it off after they showed the highlights from the first game. Georgetown is a mess.

Its not the same as it was with the Old Big East, but Villanova, UCONN, and Providence still draw great crowds. Used to make the drive every year from Philly when ND was in it.

ACC is objectively a better conference, but the Big East would be more fun to be in IMO. All the catholic schools would result in some great rivalries.

Had a minor lost argument over the A-10 Tournament with my GF who is a Fordham grad. She wants to go to the semifinals on Saturday because her friends are saying they're going to make it if they win Thursday. I said hold off on buying tickets until we know they win Friday, anything can happen in conference tournaments. Turns out the A-10 doesn't play on Friday night. WTF?! What type of conference tournament isn't back-to-back? Anywho, I am hoping they lose to Duquesne so I don't have to go to Brooklyn on Saturday haha.

I knew several players that have played at X back in the 90's so I started following them back then. I love how the Big East has accepted what their identity is and are growing as a conference.

...and Marq and St John's going to OT....

No idea why but St Johns at MSG just give me boogeyman vibes. So many games have been like this for Marquette where they somehow find a way to win. Take that insight as you will when making your brackets
