I assume you’re referring to this:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Socialist Bernie Sanders says he would let the Boston Marathon Bomber — who killed 3 people and injured 280 others — vote in U.S. elections from inside prison.<br><br>Sanders says he also supports letting sex predators and murderers vote from inside prison. <a href="https://t.co/aFTeKOPe6G">pic.twitter.com/aFTeKOPe6G</a></p>— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) <a href="https://twitter.com/RealSaavedra/status/1120499225442299904?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 23, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
There is so much to unpack here, but bottom line is that the idea that “more people voting is a good thing” is inherently flawed. If you were talking about decision making for anything else... a charitable organization, a company, an HOA, a sports team, whatever... and Scenario A is NOT letting rapists/terrorists have a say in what your organization does and Scenario B is empowering those people, anyone with half a brain would choose Scenario A. If your solution to fixing this country is to give more power to people who couldn’t pass a background check at McDonalds then you lack the basic cognitive ability to be President.
