Rumors that the Colts want to trade back into the first if a QB they like falls to 17 or lower.

Wouldn't shock me, but I doubt they'd make a move like that as they'd have to use both 2s. I could however see them do that if someone fail to mid or late 20s.

I caught that too,... but in fairness that prob IS being an academic star at tOSU. Have you heard many of their guys talk? The Bosa boys barely seem literate.

Does Mel Kiper have Parkinson’s or something? I’ve never noticed the twitching he seems to have currently. Sad if true.

When you talk to Buckeye fans they often believe they're a superior academic institution because they're an AAU member. Just don't bring up the fact that Notre Dame was ranked 15th in the country among Best Universities by US News in 2020. tOSU came in at 57th.

This draft is terrible, can we please stop letting ESPN run anything?

"Before we talk about how this pick plays in a three technique let's talk about their dead relative"

It was on the NFL network too.

Like ESPN tradition, continuously polishing the knob of the SEC.

This year the SEC produced:
#1 pick
3 of the first 5 picks
9 of the first 15 picks
12 picks in the first round

That might have something to do with it.

Thought they ended up with 15 1st round picks. Unreal. Obviously the most talented conference year in, year out. Most of the picks last night were also very highly recruited kids. Think 21 were 4 or 5* kids by Rivals. Not very surprising.

2019 WR picks by round in comparison - 2 in 1st, 7 in 2nd, 4 in 3rd

2020 WR off the board - 6 in 1st round

#12 Ruggs
#15 Jeudy
#17 Lamb
#21 Reagor
#22 Jefferson
#25 Aiyuk

Remaining Top Prospects according to NFL draft prospect rating board

Pittman
Higgins
Shenault
Edwards
Mims
Hamler
Claypool (#13)
- in comparison Boykin was rated #16 WR, went 13th at position, 3rd round, 94th overall

- Everyone wrote about how deep WR was in this draft, this was helped by weak draft last year
- 1st WR pick in 2019 was #25 overall, while the 6th was picked in 2020 at the same spot
- Loved all the pre draft Claypool talk, hope for a rise up the board for a second round selection, he was never going to be a first.

After reading and hearing so many question Tua's medical history, it's surprising he went so high.

The Bengals should:

1. Trade back and try to get an extra 4th, or an extra 3rd if the right team realllly wants a certain guy

2. Draft Ezra Cleveland (OT, Boise State) to start at either G or RT

3. Draft Tee Higgins to play opposite and then replace AJ Green

4. Draft Cole Kmet because I'm a homer and Burrow would have a great safety net to throw to right away

New England traded out of the 1st RD because they knew they could get Fink on day 2 or 3. Well played.

Really hoping McKinney (or Higgins) keeps dropping so the Bears can grab him at 43 and Cleveland drops to 50.. Realistically, it'll probably be Delpit/Winfield and Jones.

Updated mock draft for rounds 2 & 3 show the Colts grabbing Higgins. Since they need a receiver this is probably correct. Okwara going in the second to Seattle. Claypool to the Bengals and Pride to the Rams in the third round.

The Bengals getting the OT from Houston and then Claypool in the third would be a best-case-scenario for Burrow.

They get their 1st round OT from last year back in Jonah Williams. Adding another quality OT to take Bobby Hart's job would give Burrow book-end OT's for the duration of his rookie contract, basically.

Amen to this. I get showing the personal side...that’s great. But show me what they did in college besides football. ESPN is the worst.

Yes, that was crazy. 14 looked like a lock so Rece Davis asked the panel to take over/under on SEC having 15. Herbstreit was the only taker. Pollock said “no way” and little Desmond agreed.

I think it reflected what most CFB fans already know: Bama, LSU, tOSU & Clemson are in a league of their own both on the field and in the NFL draft.
