I don't have time right now to respond line by line, but the bottom line is that NYP has not released anything that can be used to verify the authenticity of emails.
The FBI has not denied having the laptop either. And if they have it, easily able to verify.
They also haven't gone on record to state they've verified the authenticity themselves, nor is anyone providing access to the alleged hard drive for independent verification.
If you're the NYP, or anyone else, would you give up the hard drives lol? Especially if the FBI already have the laptop and have sat on it (if true)?
LOL, that's a great way to try and dismiss literally anything and everything that might come out.... Again, if the FBI has it, should be easy to dismiss or not right? It could be 100% bullshit, but if so, not hard to prove/disprove.
For the story itself,
it took less than a day for major holes to be blown in it. There is no record of a meeting with Joe Biden. The Biden campaign says it didn't happen, people who were with Biden on the day in question say it didn't happen, Hunter Biden's rep says it didn't happen. Joe Biden's schedule makes it seemingly impossible to have had any meeting that day. Maybe a handshake in a rope line or other public venue? There's also no Hunter Biden response to the alleged email.
Bahahahaha.... A WAPO story claiming "major holes blown in it" because it's not on Joe's official calendar... If you were Joe, would you put it on your calendar, or have the meeting include anyone but you, they guy, and Hunter? And Hunter's people denying it... bahahahahaha.
So what we have is completely unverifiable "emails", no evidence of any meeting taking place, no evidence of any policy shift or wrongdoing per Republicans themselves. It is equally likely that this a disinformation campaign than it is that the FBI has had a hard drive since 2019 with authenticated emails and failed to disclose these documents in numerous probes/subpoenas. I'm reserving all judgment until someone can even do the bare minimum of proving the story behind the documents and the documents themselves are legit.
It actually doesn't seem like you're reserving any judgement. You're already citing lazy "calendar" excuses as why it would be impossible for Joe to meet this guy. I've worked a lot of years travelling with packed calendars and calendars certainly aren't always accurate for both innocent and purposeful reasons. And I've took plenty of meetings that weren't on my "full" calendar. And honestly, how hard it is to take a private meeting in a hotel room?
And as much as Hannity & Co. want to repeat the narrative about Shokin being fired to protect Hunter it is 100% debunked. Sorry. It has been fact checked so many times by so many reputable organizations across the world:
So to recap:
1. Every NATO-aligned interest wanted Shokin gone because he wasn't tough on corruption and wasn't going after Zlochevsky.
2. The idea to withhold loan guarantees as a carrot to force him out came from the US Embassy in Kyiv. It was not a Biden decision, it was a culmination of US foreign policy that Biden executed well.
3. It was part of broader policy initiatives to move Ukraine out of the sphere of Russian influence and eliminate corruption in the country. There are documents supporting this going back to 2015.
So we have all that context, and we know that Russia hacked Burisma in January and US intelligence officials warned of an October disinformation campaign last month after catching chatter about it. People can draw their own conclusions, but don't act surprised why many are treating this with a heavy dose of skepticism.
First of all, I have no disagreement that that Shokin is corrupt. You however seem to have zero ability to admit Shokin could have easily been pressured out by the EU, who had likely more interest in the area, as well as more ability to flex. You are also unwilling to embrace the fact Zlochevsky and Burisma, who Hunter worked for, was corrupt as hell and was caught bribing officials to make all these investigations that supposedly "weren't going on", go away...
Again, like I've said, the investigation into Burisma has been a changing story. First the story was there was never an investigation, then it was found there was one but the story changed to yes, there was one but Shokin didn't pursue. Then there was the whole bribery situation. Then they said well yes, Zlochevsky bribed, but it wasn't about Burisma lol, and Hunter wasn't involved.
In short, the entire situation is a clown show. And Hunter was right in the middle. And Daddy did know. Daddy was made of aware by internal US security about how it looked. Daddy didn't care. It really doesn't matter if Shokin was pressured out because of it, but by all means continue to hang your hat on it. What matters is, Hunter was hired by an infamously corrupt business owned by an infamously corrupt person, he was hired because of his dad, his dad knew it, and his dad was in the middle of all the stink.
The Shokin connection means little. What matters to me, and what should matter to most, is if Biden lied it all, or met with Burisma. And again, the FBI should be able to dismiss or confirm the emails. If they say it's BS, it's fine, and it makes Rudy and everyone look silly. Right? It could all very well be BS, but the attempts by the media to bury this is hilarious. And to keep pointing to WAPO articles means very little. It's like me pointing to Hannity.
