WAY Too Early Mock Drafts:

Todd McShay weighs in with an ESPN Insider Article: NFL mock draft - Todd McShay's way-too-early first-round picks for 2019

0 Notre Dame Players selected (BOO)
Opponents drafted = Rashan Gary (#3), Bryce Love (#18)

CBSSports has a top 100 2019 Prospect list: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...-a-super-early-look-at-the-top-100-prospects/

#17 - Tevon Coney
#27 - Julian Love
#29 - Terry Jillery
#93 - Alex Bars

I think it ends up being a deep draft class for Notre Dame, just not very top heavy.

Things have been relatively quiet on the draft front, but big play has led to some Notre Dame names creeping higher as pro prospects.

The Mel Kiper JR has an ESPN.com Insider article with his top 25 prospects.

2019 NFL draft prospects ranking - Mel Kiper Big Board, ranking top 25, grades, October

One new arrival? Mr. Julian Love!

Rising from unranked to #17 is quite the achievement and the buzz word in the write up is "shutdown".

McShay still isn't giving us any love, but I imagine that will change soon.

Man, so many other needs outside of CB but all of these projections seem to have us locked in at CB or WR... we need:

1.) OT
2.) OT
3.) WR
4.) Outside LBs
5.) Prob a new center as I think JTs time is coming up
6.) CB

I gotta believe OL would be priority #1 as well.

They have one of the best interiors in football and one of the worst collection of tackles,... every time BM drops back it’s an instant “n” created by both tackles just getting walked straight back

Mel Kiper Jr from the ESPN.com has posted an Insider article expanding the draft board to position groups of 10. See link below for further details.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2019/insider/story/_/id/25268737/2019-nfl-draft-prospects-ranking-position-mel-kiper-big-board-ranking-top-25-grades

But to help the small fledgling media outfit gain traffic I will post some broad snippets to entice you to donate to their patreon accounts.

BIG BOARD:
#20: Julian Love - he's moving on up! Projects as a near perfect pro CB, but hopefully he loves the Notre Dame experience too much to bail yet.

Run the dang ball!
# 10 - DEX!!!!! But can he pass block?

The Fighting Quenton Nelsons:
# 6 - Alex Bars post injury will still be a stud

Middle Man:
# 10 - Sam Mustipher, think he has a chance to move higher

DT:
# 6 Terry Jillery - he has a ton of buzz but he needs to turn it on down the stretch

Inside Man:
# 6 Te'Von Coney

Specialties!
# 10 Tyler Newsome

Julian is the 20th ranked CB? That's impossible. He has to be top 3-4, right?

No surprise on either of the three leaving early for the NFL. All three will probably be first round picks.

Projection: 1st-2nd Round

It is still very early so a lot will change. For example, Khalid Kareem and Julian Okwara aren't listed on a single draft website with a projection of being drafted and I have a hard time believing that one of them wouldn't get drafted at some point if they left school this year. I think Julian Love and Te'Von Coney are the best bets at first round picks and potentially Jerry Tillery. The playoffs do a ton to sway NFL mock drafts and things like that because all 32 teams will be watching closely and they'll get an idea if the NFL caliber guys can outclass the non-NFL guys on the different teams. Dexter Williams is apparently flying up draft boards for teams and should he perform well in the playoffs then he'd really be in position to make a shock leap towards Day 2 of the draft! Still a ton of time, but very exciting to see so many Notre Dame guys with a chance to get drafted this year.
