Yep, this weekend is full of good CFB action.

I hope NC State can find a way to pull that one off (though I doubt they do).

I think they can keep it close and keep our eyes glued to the TV. Heard this morning they are #1 offensively in 3rd down conversion rate, and Ryan Finley looks improved from last year, and he was pretty impressive last season. He should be playing on Sundays.

Biggest concern there is the lack of competition they've played so far. They hardly whooped on BC who didn't even have their best player in AJ Dillon. I would have loved to see them play WVU in week 3 I believe. Would've been a quality non-conference game for both teams.

Thanks for throwing this together, brother. Cheers.

Howeva! I'm going to disagree with you here, YJ. The Skunkbears are already getting cocky again, and they haven't beaten a soul. I'm already sick of hearing them, I'm all in on Sparty this weekend and might be in attendance.

The way I see it, we control our own destiny at this point no matter what scUM does. We go 12-0, we are in. 11-1, it's out of our hands, and we will probably need chaos in 3 of the 4 (already counting the pac 12 out of it, I don't see a 1-loss conference champ there) conferences to get in.

Sure, the SOS could get a slight bump if scUM keeps winning, but it's hardly worth it to me at this point. We win, we in. They lose, I'm happy.

So happy to see Cincinnati on the list, and not because I forced them.

#GoBearcats

Excited for MSU/scUM, but I'll be out during the day, and my single phone screen will be dedicated to Cincy off-and-on while I drink beer in the medieval times.

The afternoon slate is meh, even Clemson/NC State (Clemson gonna roll), but the night slate is nice for leisure viewing on an off-week for the Irish.

Purdue is gonna have 600 yards against Ohio State... but can they avoid turnovers and cash in for points every time they're moving the ball? I'm going with the Buckeyes in what will be a heartbreaker for the Purdouchebags.

Also excited to see 1500 combined yards between Oregon and Washington State.

Curious to see how Kentucky rebounds from their loss to A&M. Do they pucker and become the UK we all know, or do they bounce back and control an inferior opponent?

Stanford/ASU tonight should be good.

My soul wants scUM to get thumped hard. My brain and ND heart will cheer for scUM if only for the SoS boost should we drop one before the end of the regular season. Same with all our opponents.

All of these are pretty interesting to me. A ton of games that have major conference/division impacts, as well as undefeated teams going on the road.... starting with tonight's Stanford/ASU game. Zero late night games though worth a watch on Saturday... which is a good thing this week as I'll get to sleep early. I could even say OSU or PSU struggling with their trips to Indiana.

Stanford and ASU tied up 3-3. Stanford just tied it up, aided by an awful PI call. Under thrown bigly and hit the defender in the heel.

stanford squeaked that one out.
home refs sure didn't give any help to ASU.

If NC State beats Clemson this weekend, can they still lose a game and win the ACC Atlantic over Clemson? They'd both have 1 ACC loss, but NC State would win the tiebreaker?

Yeah I think Clemson would then need NC State to lose 2 games.

Stuff the Irish need this week....

Tomorrow

For SoS
Stanford win over ASU. Check
Michigan over @MichSt
NW over @Rutgers
Syracuse over NC
Ball St over EMich - doesn't really matter though at this point
Navy over Houston - I expect Navy to get beat very bad
FSU over WF - push here as both are ND opponents, but would rather FSU get ranked
Vandy over @KY - could be in both stacks. SoS, and kills any KY long shot.
USC over @Utah - I think Utah will edge this out, but hope not.

For the playoff race
UT over Bama - not going to happen, but a boy can dream
TCU over OK - I do think TCU gets up for this one
Temple over Cinci (undefeated)
NC St over @Clemson - battle of ACC undefeated teams
Washington over Colorado - effectively kills CO's long shot
MissSt over @LSU - doubt it happens, but would knock LSU out of any playoff dreams
ECar over UCF - not going to happen
UConn over SFlorida - don't see this happening either
Purdue over OSU - I think this will be closer than many think
WashSt over OR - both are 5-1, but Oregon is ranked much higher

Did they change the GameDay open midseason, or has Ian Book always been in there?

scUM/MichSt already looking like it will be an interesting one.
Chippy already with offsetting penalties. Bush hurt? Weather coming. scUM digging/kicking up the Sparty head midfield during pre-game.

Weather delay already in the scUM/MichSt game. Ugly dark clouds approaching. 25-35 mph winds approaching with rain/snow. Didn't see any lightning but map showing lots of strikes....., so kind of strange looking stuff given it could be snow.

Horrible call in the Wisconsin game on an interception by Illinois. Great defense and in interception and they call targeting. Making a play for the ball and they call him for hands to the face and targeting. BS call. They did overturn the targeting but still disagree with the hands to the face call.

Cinci got screwed big time by the refs waving off a made FG because of something having to do with coming back from a TV time out. Re-kick failed....

Thought OK was going to run away with the game, but TCU fighting back and trying to get it close before half.

yup.
and MichSt not tackling that great either. That big run by Higdon should have been a 2 yard loss. 3 missed tackles...

If the refs are going to continue to allow Michigan DB’s to hold MSU’s receivers on their routes, MSU has zero chance to win this game.

Lots of bad calls going against msu, plus refs not letting them snap the ball then calling delay of game
