Should have put up between 48-52, but I'll take 36 when the D plays as lights out as it did. No doubt Cuse would have been more competitive with Dungey, but I don't believe they would have made it a game with him.
THOUGHTS:
* The backs, while not producing huge stats (play calling or O-line?), looked good. Pleasantly surprised with what TJJ showed.
* Boykins drops were a tad disconcerting; killed at least one drive. Claypool continues to emerge - couldn't come at a better time. Finke continues to be a tremendous asset; more than any of us could have hoped for. TEs came through when needed. Again. Felt like there were 2-3 times that we were a shoe-string-tackle-breaking away from a HUGE gain.
* Yoon -- good on FGs, (intentionally?) bad on kickoffs. Cuse was the #1 STs unit in the country coming into this game. Why the fack couldn't we boot the ball at least into the endzone, if not out of it??
* D/Lea -- good Lord, it looked like they were dialed in and having fun. Not sure if this is Lea just evolving or if this game truly had a vengeance theme for him, but me likey. That D we saw last night can hang with anyone in the country.
* O-line -- *puke* do better. All these stupid penalites are eventually going to cost us a game. Also need to do a better job with run blocking.
* ST -- see Yoon; also, unit as a whole didn't do anything overtly stupid today. For once. Guess that's a good thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Was thinking we'd win by ~10 with a late score, couldn't be happier with 30+ point victory!
