Why do you put hot sauce in your refrigerator?

I prefer the Cajun ones (other than Tabasco) and the Sriracha types to stay cold, more of a texture thing... then there are some odd ones that state, 'refrigerate after___"...

We do have our Tapitio, Tabasco and a few select others just in our pantry...

An example of the texture (maybe a bad word choice) thing: Louisiana Hot Sauce (the one with the rooster on it) has a thick texture that sticks to food when cold... if it's left out it becomes very runny and just flows right off what you put it on... I like THIS particular sauce with chicken so you can see where that goes....

Ok, I was going to say that most hot sauces don't require refrigeration but if it is a texture thing for you that makes sense (mine are in my pantry with my spices).

I'm a diced onion and mustard guy with hot dogs...
That's how I do my brats. For my hot dogs it's this stuff:

I do love my sweet peeper relish at Jersey Mikes... I could drink that stuff... haven't rolled with pepper relishes much beyond that tho, I'll have to try it more often.

Do you even french fry bro?
My apologies. Fries as well.
I like ketchup, especially for burgers and fries but I'm a diced onion and mustard guy with hot dogs...
I just can't do onions, like at all. I can cook them in with shit, or shit in with them, but I just can't eat them. The texture is just not cool with me. Same for chunks of tomatoes. I can eat anything made from tomatoes and with tomatoe products, just can't eat actual chunks. Something about the texture.
I'm also a huge malt vinegar guy... drown those fries in that stuff...
It smells like piss.
Why do you put hot sauce in your refrigerator?
Odly enough mine is also in the refrigerator

Now that looks good. I may have to try that.

I'm a huge onion guy, but I def prefer them cooked... idk why but I have always liked raw onions on hot dogs, but that's really it... I like raw onions in pico de gallo and salsas obviously and love diced onions and cilantro on my burritos and tacos... but 9/10 I do grilled or cooked onions... so I get it. Nothing is better than a good salsa with chunks of fresh diced onion tho here and there tho...

What's funny, despite my love of onions on hot dogs, if you're putting them on my burger, they'd better be grilled or something... if they're raw, I'm taking them off...

No sauerkraut on your brats?

I like my brats with sauerkraut, mustard, raw onion and/or caramelized onions.
I'm not a fan of the German vinegar-based diet.

You ever smoke your own Italian sausages? They turn a deep red color. Amazing.

yesir, I do enjoy... I'm just a hot link nut tho so I usually roll with them... any time I smoke, I throw a hot link or two in there just for the 'awesome' of it all...

I dislike most Euro foods honestly... at least in comparison to American, Mexican and Asian foods... but German is prob my fav. Euro fare, I love vinegar based anything and do enjoy most German fare...

Thank you for all the park suggestions! Def, going to hit them up today/tomorrow.

We are staying downtown. They only places we have ear marked are Altura (friday night), Salumi, and Pike's chowder. We'd like to hit the Walrus and the Carpenter at some point, but are open to any and all ethnic suggestions. We eat everything, so no restrictions.

Thanks!
The Walrus and Carpenter is a must! Also, if you're in Fremont area (near gas works park) you should check out the Fremont Brewery, one of my favorite breweries. They don't have food there, so be warned.

But, it has a much more "local vibe" opposed to Elysian, Red Hook and pyramid (which have a more touristy feel to them).

Let me know if you have any questions!

On German food... German Potato Salad is a flat out epic win... but of course it's super vinegary...

I have a great and easy recipe I can dig up too if anyone is interested,...

haha, on THAT note, how about we talk foods we won't touch...

My list of "If it's involved, then I'm not" foods...

1.) Mushrooms, if I have to explain, then you just don't get it. Even cooking my food on a plate of grill that recently touched mushrooms makes me refrain from eating...
2.) Any form of uncooked/runny eggs... it's just beyond disgusting people.
3.) Most types of canned fish, think sardines and anchovies

Foods I def don't enjoy but will eat if I have to:

1.) Peas
2.) Black Olives
3.) Cauliflower

I avoid those three like I go way out of my way to include onions, garlic and hot sauce... :)

Onions and green peppers...so nasty.

I want to say that I have...

I googled it... pretty sure my college roommate took me there a couple of times (he ran the golf course in Calimesa)... I remember thinking it was pretty cool but details on any specific food escape me... I honestly may have not had anything but beer in there.

SO wife calls me to go to lunch, suggests a great Mexican spot that just changed locations to the golf course right down the street from our work. I had the chile verde plate, she had the fish and shrimp ceviche... both so bomb.

best part, total bill was 16.25 with lunch specials... damn.
