What a run this year and it's not over. I was disgusted at the defensive game plan in the first half, but the adjustments and attitude in the second half were spot on. I can't wait for the ICON video to come out.

Waking up exhausted and couldn’t be happier. Squad played like they knew everything that was on the line. Can’t blame them. They are college kids. Kudos to them and the staff.

Book definitely made some poor throws, but converted a couple of big third and longs with his legs. I still don't think he's playing at 100%.

12-0 all that matters. One thing I hope that changes is waiting until halftime to make adjustments. It was clear after one drive the defense wasn't working, let alone 2. Some changes were made 2q, but it really wasn't until 3q that it was fully tdd aka care of.

What our team needs most is rest and recovery. We may be able to add MTA back to the rotation and we need Book to rest/heal.

Same for everyone on the team. I can't wait to see what Kelly/Long/Lea dial up for our first playoff game.

It was a slog at the end but our team pulled off an undefeated season when even the most optimistic among us thought we'd have at least 1 loss and most simply hoped for double digit wins.

Now go out and recruit that talent.

I'm not sure.
Yes, the defense was tough to watch (death by a thousand paper cuts), but it forced turnovers when it needed to.
A few here called them lucky, but that was the plan.
Force them to drive the length of the field and not make any mistakes.

I didn't like the plan, but that doesn't mean it wasn't working.
It was the offense that didn't show up.

Book needs to practice his throws. If he had hit Finke on that route, we would be up a TD. Plenty of times he had trouble hitting receivers. Kelly needs to work with Book the next 5 weeks. We need the high completion rate Book for the playoffs.

It seemed ND spotted the SC defense two downs & it was always 3rd & 10-12 yards to go. As uncharacteristically bad as Book was (at least for him), he stepped up on those 3rd & longs when it counted.

Those first 4-5 drives were awful and had zero rythem. In general disappointed in the run game. A lot of that is on Book not keeping it at the right times.

12-0! Clearly Book is suffering the lingering effects of his rib injury. Give the guys some time to heal, prepare, and game plan. I wasn't expecting the slow start, but they made the corrections and adjustments. I have a few concerns moving forward, but I'm looking forward to the playoffs! This has been a fantastic couple of years after 2016 rock bottom. I'm proud of the turnaround and revitalization of the program.

Anyone think that if by some miracle Notre Dame wins a National Championship this year that Brian Kelly will test the NFL waters?

Exactly-not bad for college guys what a run-beat back southern cal who had nothing to lose and played lights out-what a year -and from here on out its just gravy against the semi pro teams. Hats off to usc for the job they did in the first half.

Adjustments were needed and adjustments were made.

Rest and recruit.

We are 12-0.

We started the season and ended the season beating SCUM!

Go Irish!

P.S. Glad to see Michigan get their ass kicked I was sick of hearing about them.

Haven’t read through the whole thread but:

Book shoulder down first down was the play of the season. Difference between a close win and an upset when things aren’t going your way is somebody taking it upon themselves to make a play.

I’m a little nervous about getting in to the playoffs, Michigan getting blown out was not great for us. I think we hold the third slot, but Ohio state and Oklahoma are definitely breathing down our necks.

This USC team is going to be dangerous for many years and should be much better next year.
