Here's something that should make you feel better about recruiting and realize there's so much talent out there to be had. And as last night showed R&R's don't guarantee championships... ND has 12 more 4&5 star players than Clemson does.

Anyways, on to the reason for my post.

This is Justin Fisher of Corona Centennial. You may have seen him play on national tv or in Adidas commercials.

He took over for Von McKinley and put up 58 rec ... 1350 yds ... 21 TD's against a Top 5 SOS in the country.

He doesn't have a profile on any of the services.

He's a 5-11.5, 175lb, 0 star WR, hiding under the world's nose just like Michael Smith is doing at Florida.

Watch 1 minute of this tape and understand that there are guys out there who can flat out play that get 0 love. Recruiting isn't a science.

*** And btw... His QB Tanner McKee throws a beautiful ball. He'll end up the #4 QB at worst in '18 and his stats are probably better already playing against better SOS and he's 6-6 to boot. Likes Stanford but don't count out Utah and BYU. Almost positive he's LDS.

Well if you're young, you may have missed your window.

If ND ever wins another NC, it'll be the 6th in my lifetime. Sometimes being old doesn't suck.

I'm fortunate to bare witness to the late 80's, early 90's when football in South Bend meant something.

Probly wasn't the best choice of words........more like when ND football ruled the land

And by the way, it's nuts to call Keith Gilmore names.

He has improved the level of line play tremendously, with BVG as DC!

He recruited well, and did a better job building camaraderie among the defensive front than any recent defensive coach.

Also, by my count, he was the only one with the balls to stand up to BVG (and Brian Kelly.) And that is what this game is all about!

Bogs, you can't say that. Look at our sacks and TFL's for DL last year. It's atrocious. Objectively, he almost couldn't have done worse the past 2 years.

Notre Dame football CERTAINLY still "means something." Had a really down year. The previous year ND was a few TD's away from being in the playoff and played in the NC 5 years ago. I know things are rough right now but football in South Bend still means a lot to many.

Personally, I like it. Showing some recruiting balls. Recruiting some serious speed as NCD has posted.

So the odds of ND getting 5-9 more recruits in this class is next to none. There will be depth holes.

I just don't see anyway ND can ever field a complete roster.

Pretty much, and from the looks of it, they've told Summons they're not interested.

Got a little tip from someone... And checked on Twitter and it checked out... Big thing right now is there are offers going out that are current ly committed to other places that have serious interest in ND are not reporting on social media received offers so they don't get backlash

rather have a 3 star that will play his heart out and be hungry than get a 4/5 * that feels entitled any day of the week...especially ones that FIT the system and WANT to be here
