I honestly don't know who I want in a bowl game. Wisconsin, maybe? I think we could score on them and I think our defense could stop them enough times. But honestly I don't know after this last game. It seemed like the U dominated in most aspects. Still, too painful to watch!

I dunno, I think that it was the U's speed on defense that rattled/killed the Irish. From what I seen from Wisco, they are not overly quick on the front line ... more brawn than speed. I believe the Irish would do well against Wisconsin's front line.

I wouldn't mind Penn State. Winnable game against a seemingly good opponent.

Saturday was one of those tidal wave moments ND got caught in... Miami is a good team and deserving of the love they are getting right now but they are not 30 points better than ND any more than Iowa is 30 points better than tOSU or Auburn is 30 points better than UGA... these games happen all the time and it was just ND's turn.

To the bowl game, just win the feckin thing, we really need it. My thing is ND tends to get placed against the most difficult challenge available in these situations. It would be nice if we could have UCF or whoever and just get a big bowl trophy... with our luck Bama loses a game and falls out of the playoff and we get them in the Sugar or Peach or whatever freakin bowl is held in the South that isn't a playoff game.

I'll be at the Sun Bowl this year, checking out Louisville in person would be fun.

Did you not just see how poorly we played in Florida?!

Seriously, though, I think the colder/drier the location we play in, the better. Especially if we end up playing someone from the SEC. I honestly believe that warmth/humidity is the 12th player for the other guys.

The cotton bowl would be sweet. It’s the only major bowl I was coherent enough in my life to see us win so it would be rad to win again...but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

meh on the weather.
our shitty game plan/prep was their 12th man.

I was at the FSU game in 2002 and we played just fine in FL. I was also at ND the next year when FSU got revenge in SB. We also beat Miami in 2010 at the Sun Bowl down on the border.... IIRC that was a cool evening though.

LOL... not an example of dry humid weather boss.. I was there and I've never been colder in my life... calling that 'a cool evening' is like calling Death Valley in August 'somewhat warm'...

I remember getting to our seats to find all the bleachers frozen over, no one could sit down without literally sitting on a block of ice. I thought, 'this freakin sucks!"... then Miami came out of the tunnel and everyone in the place could see their collective body language and you could tell the game was basically over right there and I thought, "This is freakin awesome!!"

lol.... wimp :)
i just went back and checked the actual temps.... 36 degrees was the high, 30 the low for that day. OK, bad example. It's not Indiana cold though.

Regardless, that time of year, FL, South TX, South AZ, South CA,,,, none of those places are going to too hot or humid.

It got colder than that bro... trust me. At one point ice pieces starting falling from the sky... ice, from the freaking sky bro!!!! I was amazed we all survived, let alone the game played to conclusion.

I want Ohio State. Their fans are always talking trash about ND due to the fact they always beat us. I want ND to smash Ohio State in the face.

Can I have a threesome with Margot Robbie and Emilia Clarke while we're at it?

That Sun Bowl was pretty funny. There was snow in the stands, Miami was dressed in thermals, and most of our guys didn't even have long sleeves on.

I remember Aaron and I were supposed to meet up.

It was too cold to happen.
