Spring practice isn't complete if you don't have boundless enthusiasm and excitement from the fans plus a rumor to bring everything back down to reality.

This intrigues me. Strong and nasty. Probably not the fastest, but we at least need a SDE for Rochelle's backup anyways.

From free rivals video - Barajas looks so slow. Other LBs look good.

From free 247 video - nice to have Folston back. I love a natural back, don't care if he's flashy and runs a 4.45. Get me the guy that can make the right read and get 4 yards everytime.

Also from that video - I thought Malik could have made a couple throws a second earlier. Primarily the pass in the endzone to EQ. Waited for EQ to be set. That throw has to happen earlier or it's picked/tipped.

Also - Drue Tranquill and Spencer Perry look like LBs in the DB drills. Watch their backpedal compared to other DBs. Not in the same league.

sounds like that's more of a knock on Max than Devin.

I wouldn't make a big deal of Studstill taking 1st team reps considering our depth. It's just to get him ready because he'll have to play. Redfield will start at safety if healthy and eligible.

I never saw "wanting to hit" as an issue for him. His coverage is horrid and falls out of position all of the time. That's his issue.

We're all couch coaches on this board. I can see talent just as well/bad as you. I just practice some modesty, which is a rare bird around here.

I disagree. I think BK is fed up with Max. I don't think BK hesitates one bit putting Max as a backup if Studstill clearly takes over the position. People raved about Devin and said he could start day one. They weren't kidding and he's proving them right.

I think he's giving Studstill reps because he's smart enough, we don't have a back up FS so whoever is, needs to practice with the 1s (if Tommy Rees was our 2nd string FS, he'd be getting 1st team reps in the spring too), and to motivate Max. There's no chance Max doesn't start at safety. He may get pulled if he sucks and Studstill will play cause he's the backup, but I'll eat my foot if Max doesn't start at safety to begin the year.
