Seems a lot of folks who have preached tolerance the last eight years aren't very tolerant anymore....
Anymore?

only tangentially related...but here is that attitude. Why would this fvcking moron think it was ok to accost Trump's daughter while she had her kids right there?

For someone asking for understanding and acceptance (apparently gay), how the hell can he then bag on someone for their DAD!
Some people only survive w/o having the ever lovin shit kicked out of them out of the grace of other people...grace he does not posses ...complete asshole!
From what I read, he was a college professor to boot.
Shocking.
Is it though?
I went to a state school in an ultra conservative state.....and even we had some aggressively liberal professors. It's actually the crowd I'd expect it from. It just contributes more to the stereotype that liberals aren't tolerant.

Highlighting the deeper point here - my son is getting shit from some punk at school. Administration knows the kid is a PIA and more or less acknowledges my stance that he should go full fledged Ralphie on this dookie in the hallway until someone pulls him off because nobody is ever going to do anything about it. Punks are completely empowered by the MC Hammer mamby pamby BS. Run your mouth all day and nobody will ever shut it for you.
Fortunately or unfortunately, my son is a sweetheart and doesn't really have the streak in him to do it. Couldn't hurt a flea and great kid but I worry about that making him a target for those that only build up by tearing others down.
Oddly enough, I don't remember any of my professors at Bama seeming to have a political agenda in the classroom. Bama is rather conservative and politics were always a big deal around school, but they didn't intrude into the classroom. Even polysci professors didn't seem to be pushing an agenda. My professors did the strangest thing: they taught their subject without trying to indoctrinate us. Novel concept. Times have changed.
He just can't help himself. The funny part is this is more of a dig at Hillary than it is at Trump.

Obama Says He Would Have Defeated Trump for a Third Term
Thank god for term limits. Now we need them in a few other places.
He would definitely have beaten Trump. I don't think that's a stretch at all. Heck, Bernie would probably have beaten him too..

We could argue till we're blue in the face about Obama vs Trump. The arrogance and smugness is pitiful. Ever hear another president say that?
Hahaha, now this is really getting comical! U.S. going further towards socialism than what we are under Nobama?!? That's all we need, government regulating our economic markets even more than they are today! Geeeesh!
Holy crap, how far to the right must one be to think that Obama, perhaps the most moderate centrist president ever, is a socialist? Seriously... vote for who you want, be a Republicant or Democrap, but you can't be even pretend to be a responsible citizen voter if you continue to hold really (sorry) insane beliefs.
By the way, the last most liberal president we had was Richard Nixon. Yes, even that pinko commie rag, The National Review, agrees with me.

Term limits would help a lot. When people get elected to office their focus is rarely to do what is right, what is best for the country, or what is best for their constituency. Instead, their focus becomes what will get them reelected. Take that away.
There is no correlation between time spent in office and corruption. In places that have actually instituted term limits, it backfires as the focus becomes "where is my next job? Who do I have to please during my time here to get a good job after this?"
Yes, career politicians often suck. But they often don't. There is something good to be said about statesmen like John McCain or Ted Kennedy. Again, there is no correlation that time spent in office increases corruption. Term limits would likely worsen the revolving door between politics and lobbying/special interests.
If you want to free legislators from corruption, support publicly funded elections, open primaries, etc.
Or term limits + and ban politicians from the lobby game...
I'm down with you on publicly funded elections so long as it's not a huge burden.
Obama put us 10 trillion in the hole and what did we get?!
He's no centrist. He's a lefty and never did anything to reach across the aisle
