Let's face it, this is where we are stuck right now...

yIOY0oN.png

We have a megalomaniac blowhard versus a megalomaniac blowhard. Ignoramus versus Crook.

For those of you who LIKE DJT, please realize he is an arrogant jerk who speaks before he thinks and doesn't sound like he truly has many things sorted out to specific ideas that could be implemented in our political structure. Plus he doesn't truly line up (historically) with the majority of the party he is the nominee for. (...and yes I could continue to go on and on and on...)

For those of you who LIKE HRC, please realize she is a corrupt and corrupting liar who will pander to anyone anyhow anywhere anytime in order to attain the absolute of power, "the precious", the presidency of the US. She (not unlike her opponent) has been on many sides of many issues, and is as oily as her husband ever was but without the personality that he used to work as a redeeming factor. Plus she also, doesn't seem to truly line up (historically) with the views her party has evolved to. (...and yes I could continue to go on and on and on...)

Basically boys and girls (& LGBTQ cis trans meta, poly, etc) looks like we all are F'ed

Are you calling Trump a one-hit wonder?

Maybe a many-hit wanderer?

Watching Rudy Giuliani on CNN. He's lost his mind. He's definitely not right being that his first (of 3) wife was his 2nd cousin. He's making a clown of himself defending everything Trump says.

I saw him talking to Don Lemon?

...I mean Lemon was so clearly attacking trump and defending Hillary. All he had to do was keep his cool, and Lemon would have looked ...well like himself...a Hillary water boy. Instead Rudy made Lemon look less Rabid, and more coherent by being ADD and emotional. Sad.

Agreed.

10/10 you sheep.

...I mean ...I thought our standard for judging people was such that The Punch > The Prevocation on the "badness" scale. When you habitually Do bad shit and Do worse shit to cover it up, thats pretty much worse than someone being "offensive" or even "provocative".

Politics defies the most basic of premises governing our lives...again as was stated earlier in this thread...its a team sport now, where your guy is never wrong, and their guy is always wrong.

No candidate this cycle is worth much of my time. All I think about, quite honestly, is who is likely to produce a supreme court I can feel good about leaving my kids...Most of the new appointees will likely define their lives.

I see who Trump would nominate to the SCOTUS, and that suits me. I'm voting Trump, and I really don't GAF about much else...

And when my kids laugh and tell me I voted for a caricature...I'll tell them "you're welcome...tough deal, needed therapy...speaking of...now I'm late for my AR-15 Shooting therapy session at the gun range...its open mag day, you all are welcome to come. You see we installed the new "Men" and "Women" tags on their RESPECTIVE restrooms, so you girls don't have to hold it anymore..hey and after, I'm headed to the court house to pick up Voter ID packs to deliver to folks who couldn't get there...lots to do...we done here".

The Clinton Plan's Growth Deficit - WSJ

So, how does Mrs. Clinton diagnose and suggest to cure the country’s stagnation? Her central pro-growth proposal is “infrastructure” spending, $275 billion over five years, financed in part by some sharply higher taxes.

Sure, America’s roads and bridges could use patching. But how does this fix the growth problem? Nobody thinks that stagnant growth is centrally the fault of bad roads and bridges. No, the economic argument behind Mrs. Clinton’s proposal is simply the endless drumbeat of fiscal stimulus: Spend taxed or borrowed money on anything, and the “multiplier” will increase “demand.”

We’ve been at this since 2008. But the caution that stimulus should be “timely, targeted, and temporary” has now been forgotten. Japan’s massive “infrastructure” spending and weak growth to show for it are forgotten. And if U.S. growth hasn’t been kick-started by the trillions of stimulus so far—the government has accumulated $8 trillion of debt since the recession began—how will another $50 billion a year help?

Further, why are roads and bridges still a problem? President Obama has been after “infrastructure” stimulus since 2009. If you ask that question, and listen to answers, they are pretty clear. It’s nearly impossible to build infrastructure these days. Endless regulatory reviews and legal challenges bog down builders. The Davis-Bacon Act, which mandates prevailing wages, and other contracting restrictions balloon costs. Politicians and agencies pick terrible projects—high-speed trains to nowhere. Even those can’t get built. President Obama discovered how few projects are “shovel-ready.” Opposition to throwing money down a rathole is not pigheaded.

In return for more spending, Mrs. Clinton could have offered serious structural reforms: repeal of Davis-Bacon, time limits on environmental reviews, serious cost-benefit analysis, and so forth. Such a package would have been irresistible.

Instead her plan simply asserts that Mrs. Clinton will “break through Washington gridlock” and “cut red tape”—promises made and forgotten by every presidential candidate in living memory.

Shovel Ready II Baby.

Yes, we do need the work done, No I don't think it is a "jobs" Plan because it is a net loser...but beyond all of that, we need it done. My question is...who would be the adult in the room to actually line up funding with needed projects...ya know the planning, controlling, organizing, and staffing stuff competent people do every damned day...ya know the stuff that we failed to do that made "shovel ready" a knee slapper.

Pretty hard to trust this OBAMA III regime to manage this...but hey, this infrastructure scheme sounds good when someone else besides Hillary says it real fast, and you are distracted with Football season...

CNN’s Cuomo comes right out and admits it: ‘We couldn’t help Hillary any more than we have’ | BizPac Review
“It’s a problem because she’s doing what they call in politics “freezing pockets,” because the donors are giving her money thinking she’s going to run, that means they’re not going to have available money for other candidates if she doesn’t.” Cuomo said. “And I don’t think she’s going to give it to them. We couldn’t help her any more than we have, she’s got just a free ride so far from the media, we’re the biggest ones promoting her campaign, so it had better happen.

Trying to decide if the facade of objectivity is coming down because....

they presume no one who cares can do anything about it

....or...

as a cleansing response to their complete failure in integrity....kinda like, if I admit it, it isn't a problem because I told the truth.

I thought about trying that whole cleansing truth thing in Vegas..."yea, I counted cards, but I called your attention to it Mr. Pit Boss, so you can't heavy bag me"....yeaaaaa, no, that prolly wouldn't work.
