Antonneous Clayton said that he's in no rush to make a decision, and that he's open to all schools, including Notre Dame

"It's big," Clayton said. "Notre Dame is one of the schools where you can get a degree and make something like $100,000 a year. That's something that I like to know … They said that they are going to take four defensive ends and that they really want me in the class." - See more at: https://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1767823#sthash.om89y7oJ.dpuf

"I'm going to be there in June," Clayton said. "I'm not sure on the exact date, because my schedule is busy, but [I want to make] the trip." - See more at: https://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1767823#sthash.om89y7oJ.dpuf

"I don't really care where I play football, I'm just looking for the right school," Clayton said.

West Hartford (Ct.) Kingswood Oxford four-star linebacker Koby Quansah (born in Ghana) elston stopping by next week

"Of course I'm interested," he said. "Notre Dame has great academics, which is what I'm looking for in a school and it also has great football. We have some alum from [Kingswood Oxford] that go to there right now, and it seems like a great place to be."

Duke, Wisconsin, Harvard, Yale, Boston College, Michigan, Northwestern and Vanderbilt have all offered Quansah scholarships, while Stanford sent a coach to his Kingswood Oxford last week. - See more at: https://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1767922#sthash.zuowVBP0.dpuf

"I would definitely consider going, it would just be a matter of me finding a way to go if they offered me a scholarship," Quansah said. "I wouldn't say it's a for sure, because I don't know how I would get there yet."
He scored a 1390 on his SAT a few months ago, but plans to retake the test because he isn't "satisfied" with the mark.

Elston will be in to see Boulder Co. DE Carlo Kemp. Highly rated as the #7 WDE by rivals. Apparently the nephew of Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano.

Lyght will be down in Florida to check in on S Deon Edwards. Some pretty good tape for being an unrated player by 247 and 3 star by rivals.

I'll swing by the Colts complex and ask Chuck to put in a good word for the Irish.

Lyght was also in to see CB Carlos Becker while down in Florida. He's rated as an ATH but most schools are on him as a CB. OSU, FSU, UF, and Tenn. offers.

Plays at a rival school to the one I coach at. Was leading the nation last year in rushing yards & rushing yards per game. Believe his father played college ball. Is known to have a very high vertical and was just offered by MSU and Michigan after running a 10.53 100 meter dash, the fastest time in Indiana.

I can't comment on that. Not sure I've heard enough about him to determine whether he would be a good fit here.

He's a actually Curtis Enis' nephew. Curtis is from just across the state line in Union City. My college roommate is from Union City also and lives a couple houses down from him. He said Kiante is much slimmer than Curtis was. I knew he was fast but 10.5 is hauling the mail. I assume he plays 1A or 2A so he isn't tested. He was leading the nation in running last year at some point. I see he's shot up the rankings. He's at #8 in IND now. I wrote up a profile on him a while back and he was in the upper teens then. I'll have to post it Sunday when I'm watching the race.

Winchester is 2A. There are solid teams even at the 1A and 2A level, but not week in, week out. The top ten is typically pretty stout, however Winchester lost to the only two teams they played that would fall in this category.

DE Romeo McKnight is now on the board and an offer is expected within the next week or two. This is a name I mentioned that looked really good in the Chicago NFTC camp footage that I've seen.

I know that this is going to be a smaller class...but I wanna go "boom" soon. Not feeling anyone is close. May always seems slow as school comes to a close.

Wait until Irish Invasion comes and goes. We should pick up a couple and then get quiet again.

Nygel Edmonds

"Coach [Todd] Lyght called me today, we've been talking a lot the last couple of days and he visited the school a couple weeks ago," Edmonds said. "We finally had time to talk in detail today and he said he wanted to make my offer official. They know I'm committed to Stanford, but I told him I was very hyped about it.

"They've been recruiting me for a while, probably for maybe half a year. I've always felt like there was a strong connection there, but at the same time it would seem like they were very close to offering me and then they never would. But once they offered me today, he explained how they have to go through a very thorough process with the offers to get the best athletes in the school, so at the end of the day I was hyped about it."

"Even though I'm still very solid to Stanford, I've done my research and Notre Dame has great athletics and academics, which is the main thing I'm looking forward to in a college," Edmonds said. "So they're definitely high up on the chart, but once again, I'm still very, very solidly committed to Stanford."

Edmonds added that Lyght invited him to Irish Invasion in June. The 2016 standout doesn't know if he can make it yet, but he does hope to see campus at least at some point.

"I'd definitely like to get up there," Edmonds said. "I have to talk to my parents but they probably won't have a problem visiting up there. If I do I'll try to visit in the summer, if not maybe towards the fall. I wouldn't rule [Irish Invasion] out, that would be a good time to visit." - See more at: https://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1769599#sthash.jSmKpsna.dpuf

I'm glad he was more excited then the majority of recruits who had to wait for offers but the thing that sticks out to me is the lack of communication up front from the coaches as to why they haven't offered. They seem unwilling to tell recruits that "While we are reviewing you athletically we also need to do our homework on you academically to make sure it's a fit for all involved." I mean they gotta be saying that to kids right?

A lot recruits have seemed to just get pissed off and felt slighted that they had to wait and they say things in interviews that suggest they have idea why ND waited so long to offer. Got to be better communication from the beginning about the offering process.

the staff have and are upfront w/ these kids...they are told what they need to see more of xyz...now with the coaching changes it CERTAINLY hurt us w/ not getting contacted with the new coaches but they are also getting acclimated to their NEW JOB as a coach....ND doesn't throw 10000 offers out at times like other schools...some of the kids that don't get ND bending over for, well good luck to them...in the case of DJ morgan...he set up a decision time BEFORE stepping on ND's campus/offer...so ND is just supposed to throw an offer to him in an effort to get us a commit? he lives in cali and had 1 cali offer...this kid NYGEL gets "it" and understands there are reasons and EVERY college/university does things differently

Boulder Co. DE Carlo Kemp will be getting his visit today. It sounds like an offer is expected and we'd likely take the lead position. He grew up cheering for ND and OSU (OSU is full at DE) and his uncle is Chuck Pagano (HC for the Colts).

Yea, I think he's a solid swing guy SDE/DT. I don't think he fills the need of dynamic edge rusher that is of great importance but having him and Okwara as a early start would be good.
