Report: Saban to be next Texas coach
Y! SPORTS
Either the saga continues, or finally is put to rest. Who knows.

God it would be amazing if he leaves.
I wonder if it would cause Bo Scarbrough to give us another look. May depend on who replaces Saban.
Even on ESPN they keep reporting that the money is virtually the same. I have no idea how they keep coming to this? Almost everything I have seen is $10M (UT) vs $7M (Bama).
If that is the case, how is $3M a year in addition to not paying state income tax not significantly more money?

i don't think he wants to be a part of the running back circus...greg-redshirt, folston-fresh plus w/ mcdaniel and george...he wants to be the "man"

If Saban takes the Texas job, I hope we find out at the Sugar Bowl in a wrestling-type move. Nick walks out on the field for pre-game warm-ups and shakes hands with Stoops, only for Nicky to pull off his Crimson polo shirt to reveal a burnt orange Longhorns T-shirt underneath.
I keep that much laying around the house.
It's not the money that will be the deciding factor anyway.

That would be about as disrespectful as you can get.

I've listened to a lot of sports radio, ESPN tv, articles, and stuff on here about Saban and Texas. If I were him and Texas is offering what is reported plus some money from the Longhorn Network, think about this:
---Enough money for his kids and grandkids.
---All the resources in the world with recruiting.
---Less competition in conference by far.
---There's other stuff in TX besides UT football, unlike AL. If he loses a game, they won't crucify him.
---Chance at Natl Title with 3rd team
---You always hear him say "new challenge" when he takes a job.
---I don't know for sure, but I imagine Austin, TX being a lot more fun (for his family) than Tuscaloosa.

I don't think the competition thing is true at all... the Big12 is not as top heavy, but it's a deeper conference imo...
Big12 has Oklahoma, OK ST, and sometimes Baylor.
SEC has LSU, Auburn, Florida (usually), A&M, Ole Miss is on the rise
Don't know about you but I'd rather take the Texas schedule haha
