We lost to North Dakota St. at home. I don't even know what to say.

Wow, that's embarrassing. We'll have to really step it up for ACC competition or else we won't even make the tournament.

Lol that was pathetic. I guess that's what happens when you don't have any athletic quality defenders and the only guy on your team that can create his own shot is completely erratic. Need way more Demetrious Jackson and way less everyone else.

I'm trying to comprehend how Jerian only attempts 5 shots for the whole game? (a few more from fouls).

Brey has no control over this lineup.
He's very lost.

Is Zach Auguste hurt?? Didn't play a single minute tonight. Thought he was really solid last year and is actually an athletic big. Don't understand.

Garrick Sherman is the softest basketball player I've ever seen. EA and Grant play with absolutely no passion whatseover. Brey refuses to use the bench. We never seem to run any plays besides get Connaughton semi-open for a three pt. shot.

If he doesn't win a game in the NCAA tourney this year (if we even make it) he definitely needs to be fired. Brey did a great job of making us relevant again but is clearly incapable of ever getting us to the next level. ND is a fairly attractive job and I don't see why we can't get someone that can do better with this much talent.

Brey didn't play Knight for a couple games straight, while Zach did.

Now, Brey is playing Tom, not Zach.

Might be illegal to play both.

Zach has looked pretty sloppy though this year.

Hold onto Brey until you can get Brad Stevens from the Celtics.

The problem is probably that we have no bigs that can step up. Sherman may have some good games but I guarantee you he'll fade when he's needed. We need the younger, more athletic power forwards to play more instead of Sherman and Knight. This is the most talent Brey has ever had, and we've had two horrible losses, and at home, no less.

You can't fire Brey unless there's a guarantee you can get an upgrade. Brey is fairly consistent - he'll get you around 20 wins and usually lose in the first round of the tourney. Not great, but OK. He's a great representative of ND, but I agree, he'll never take ND anywhere special in the postseason.

Totally agree. In the past he has had a Cooley or Harangody or a myriad of other guys. There are no athletic/strong/tough bigs inside. This team is just flat out bad.

Why would Stevens want to go to ND? It's not a basketball school and he could get more elsewhere. It's a moot point though because Stevens will be in the NBA for the rest of his career.

Brey gets a pass...and its time that he didn't. His tourney record is awful, and this year may be a train wreck. How we didn't go after the best coach in the state is beyond me.

Haha...no, never thought he was the "home run" hire. He is a middle of the road guy, who will run a clean program, graduate his players, and be a likable guy. That seems to be the blue print for keeping your job at ND.
