UVA is a not a good rebounding team. The rebound margin in the game is embarrassing. I don't like to talk about "effort," but...

As for the 3s, we had some good looks but it seemed like nothing would fall. They play good defense, of course.

Missed FTs are obviously bizarre but didn't particularly change the outcome of the game.

Didn't see the game, but the final score is ugly.

Was the game closer than that final score? If not they got rocked tonight.

Yeah it was about a 5 point game until the 4 minute mark or so. Still wasn't very pretty.

Forget about this one and move on. They made everything tonight. Sometimes the other team just plays better.

And Notre Dame had their worst points per possession at home in 15 years, and UVA did an insane job on the defensive glass. Just one of those nights.

I may be delusional but I think this team is built to be a bit recession proof. Part of it is the complete unselfishness, part is the dearth of scorers that can hang 20 on you in a heartbeat, part again the defense. These guys are a really good team and well deserving of a 10-15 ranking, not lucky to play their way into it. A team everyone should take seriously, not exclusively a problem if shooting well.

OK - I am delusional. Thank God that abomination of a game was not on a real network. Watching sports on an iPad is putting civilization backward a few hundred years - F-U ESPN/ACCN! I LIVE LITERALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ACC AND CANNOT SEE THIS GAME ON TV?

Everyone was cold as ice - UVA is way up in their skull and I hope we don't come anywhere near them in the post season.

Perhaps it was the strange transmission through my Apple TV, but I thought the crowd was dead last night, not that they had much to be excited for.

I actually felt they were really loud while it was close. I even made a comment to my buddies about it. The students were certainly engaged.

Kenpom has Nd now 24th and out of the top 10 for offensive efficiency. Last night was that bad. UVA is 3rd in defensive efficiency btw, but L'ville is 2nd. The difference between Lvill and UVA is that UVA is 16th in offensive efficiency while Lville is 34th. Additionally, Lville's adjusted tempo is nearly 10 possessions per 40 minutes higher than UVA (ND is basically on par with L'ville on tempo). BTW, GT is in the mid 30's on defensive efficiency (for comparison, that puts them between Miami and Northwestern in terms of opponents), but is 213th for offensive. ND should win the game, but GT certainly has a defense capable of causing problems if ND comes out sluggish and plays sloppy.

So, uh, GT is up 41-15 on FSU at the half.

The hell....

Get it out of your system boys.

I'm actually not looking forward to GT is going to turn into under Pastner. He got a raw deal at Memphis.

Although, I wonder what Pitt fans are thinking today about forcing Dixon out.

Probably the same way ND fans will feel once they force Kelly out.

GT just did ND a huge solid last night. Not only does it improve the standings for ND, but more importantly, it should focus the team Saturday.

Must've been my particular set up. The audio was pretty strange. I'm also in ACC country and a top 15 ACC game isn't on TV? Smh...

And hopefully blew their wad a bit. That kid who scored 35 should score 4 on Saturday if VJ is any indication of expected sequence of returns... FSU was obviously flat but this is just a testament to how deep the ACC is. GT building a bit of a resume if they can put some wins together.

I saw we are something like 1-4 or 1-5 against ranked teams - not encouraging.

Second game in a row I'm gonna question Brey's rotation.

I think he's hit the point of not being able to see when "down-shifting" is hurting his team. We have had to have given up at least 8 offensive rebounds in the first half so far.

And we've went zone 3 times. All three times they've made less than 3 passes and got a bucket.

Rebounding a complete disaster. Two games in a row now. Hopefully they can pick it up in the second half...

Really bad last 10 minutes of the half after coming out of the gates strong. Sloppy turnovers and poor shot selection by pretty much everyone. Hopefully those big 3s by Beachem and Farrell to end the half wake everyone up.

I'm shocked by how many shots we passed up to give it to someone in a bad position.

We're not struggling to find shots, we're struggling to make decisions.

And VJ....I'll get made at him over a 3 minute span, and then he'll knock down a shot to break a run.

He stands there while GT's guard goes hard for a ball to create a break, whiffs, then we give up a layup. He gives up an open 3 to Jackson. Then he hits a jumper. I know he has 12 or whatever, but sometimes I wonder if the positives out weigh the negatives even when he's scoring.
