I'm shocked by how many shots we passed up to give it to someone in a bad position.

We're not struggling to find shots, we're struggling to make decisions.

And VJ....I'll get made at him over a 3 minute span, and then he'll knock down a shot to break a run.

He stands there while GT's guard goes hard for a ball to create a break, whiffs, then we give up a layup. He gives up an open 3 to Jackson. Then he hits a jumper. I know he has 12 or whatever, but sometimes I wonder if the positives out weigh the negatives even when he's scoring.

We had a game we should have won, and we pissed it away. Wow, this one really hurts.

We're gonna make the tournament, but this is a 7 seed, not a 3.

Hard to blame Farrell for anything, but that last shot he took left a lot to be desired.

I understand why Brey wanted Torres in for defense/rebounding, but we were still getting beat on the boards AND sacrificed our post offense. Really tough loss. Tough to look at a 6-3 record and some really average teams right there with us considering how well the Irish had been playing.

Yuge game against Duke on Monday.

EDIT: Just saw the last play again. I know Bonzie doesn't want to foul, but holy shit man you cannot let the rebounder get a clear outlet pass. Just stand in front of him and we are in OT right now. Pitiful effort.

Unbelievable that (I think) with FSU and UNC losing, we're still only 1 game back in the standings.

If we can split with DUke/UNC, we have a real shot down the stretch compared to the schedules of everyone else.

Top 4 seed is still obtainable in the ACC tourney.

Entertaining but disappointing game - strikes me that Steve was not the go to guy in the final two minutes. Agree with all of the commentary above - hopefully this is a mid season bump and we get back into form to peak at the right time.

Duke is a bit of a hot mess and they have to have confidence against them tonight. I would gladly trade a GT loss for a Dook win all day. GT looks on the upswing - good core of young players and their coach only has one year under the hood. They have a lot to play for to atone for those 8 losses and will be dangerous in the ACC tourney.

Not a particularly inspiring half by anyone tonight. Duke ended the half on a 21-6 run.

Duke denied Farrell a ton after he made the first entry pass. They aren't scared of anyone but him creating off the dribble.

VJ can't dribble. Rex can't score off the dribble. Vasturia is ok, but not someone you fear.

I think this second half you have to play Farrell and Gibbs a ton.

And that just wasn't fair to Matt Ryan at the end of the half. I think Brey's starting to kill that kids confidence.
