{Roger Goodell walks to the podium at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University. Capacity crowd greets him with a chorus of boos.}

With the forth pick in the 2015 draft, the Oakland Raiders select..... Amari Cooper, Wide Receiver, Alabama.

With this pick Derek Carr's productivity sky rockets, this will give him a receiving threat every play of the game. Cooper is a highly polished receiver and posses the numbers to back up the justification of selecting him with the 4th pick!

Welcome to RAIDER NATION Mr. Cooper!

Really conflicted on the Bears. The only consistent thought I have is hope that they trade for more picks.

This team is a f-cking disaster for all intents and purposes, so keep the pick and take someone worth a s-it IMO. I'd rather go to the casino having one dollar to gamble with than four dimes.

I just don't see the drop off from 7 to low teens, especially if they go after a WR (which they should in this draft just not with the #7 pick). I think something like dropping to 11-14 and picking up another 2nd round pick would be good value. Second round pick would give them ability to get a quality WR plus DT/DE first round and another quality player with their original 2nd round pick, essentially get 3 top 40 players instead of 2.

We have so many needs that it is hard to see it worth trading the pick if someone is dropping to us that others would trade up for. Might not have the option to trade down.

Just for the love of all things holy, DO NOT DRAFT A RUNNING BACK IN THE FIRST ROUND!

With the 5th pick in the 2015 draft, the Washington Redskins select Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon.

When one Heisman winning QB from a garbage offense doesn't work, the obvious move is to double down on the next Heisman winning QB from a garbage offense. RGIII takes a back seat to MMI, who hopefully learns how to read defenses better than his predecessor. And doesn't blow out his knee.

With the Sixth Pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select Offensive Lineman, Brandon Scherff

It was between Scherff and Dante Fowler. Scherff is the pick because the OG position was a weak spot for the Jets and Scherff has the talent to move over to RT if needed. A better OLine, MAY help Geno Smith be productive. With Marshall and Decker on the outside and Amaro who had a good rookie campaign, the Jets should be able to put up some points this upcoming season.

The defense has a top 5 DLine and retooled the defensive secondary in free agency with Revis, Cromartie, Skrine and Gilchrist. With better corner play, Jets can blitz more and can wait until the second rounder to get a pass rusher.

[/Bear's front office frantically scrambles as they try to collect their thoughts.]

With the 7th overall pick in the IE Mock NFL Draft... The Chicago Bears pick....

Dante Fowler, Jr. - OLB/Florida

750x422

While trading down would be preferable. Several prospects like Landon Collins have seen their draft stock go into the second round. There will be safety option with their next pick and they need immediate help EVERYWHERE. They decide to take their chances with the pick. As the most NFL ready front seven player has slid into their pick slot. He is the same mold of a disruptive, suber athletic 3-4 OLB that Vic Fangio has proven to get the best out of, see Aldon Smith.

I think the in the real draft they should, but in the real draft, they probably wont have Fowler Jr fall to them. He's the best front 7 player in the draft not named Williams. If that happened, I would be ecstatic with them just using the pick. The best trade scenario is if Mariota falls to them. Then they would have plenty of suitors, imo.

I would take Mariota if he falls to them. Cutler is not a long term solution, stuck with him for one more year while Mariota seasons on the bench to take over year two. I would be very excited about this scenario. Plus you know Chip Kelly is always available to pay way too much for him at some point.

SOMEONE is likely to drop to them and their needs are so many it is hard to see the point of passing on a top 5 quality pick, someone that is equipped to be a pro bowler in short order. Exception to this is Winston, if he falls GTF out of the way.

Feel the same. If we can get a guy like Fowler Jr or Williams, then we should jump all over that. But if we don't (and most likely, we wont) then we should be looking to trade down. I am in a different boat on Mariota though. If he fell to us, we should mortgage that pick imo.

It's easy for us to all say that they should trade the pick. But ultimately, they have to have a suitor.

And if nobody remarkable falls to them, that suitor may be hard to find. Kind of a catch 22.

Given what Kelly is likely to give up to get to Mariota and the bevy of other teams looking for a QB, that might be the perfect storm for the Bears. Looking at the Jets, I could see them getting the juice before us though.

Am I crazy in wondering how so many teams view Winston as a better pick than Mariota?

Is his offensive system hurting his stock that much?

If I were drafting on behalf of my franchise, I would think it's a no-brainer that you want Mariota. No character issues (as opposed to Jameis who just keeps making mistakes, but I guess you could chalk that up to "youthful ignorance" [LOL]), good enough arm to make all the throws, more athleticism than Winston, and most importantly, you won't be answering tough questions about the new face of your franchise.

I just don't get it haha.

Just look at the mental makeup of the premier QBs in the league.

Luck, Manning, Brady, Wilson.... not a lot of flakes in there. Well grounded, never been yahoos. It is a marathon, not a sprint and someone who has the mental fortitude to keep their stuff together on and off the field is essential.

Mariota and its not even close in my book. So much so that I am OK with the Bears taking him if he drops to them (unless the entire Eagles draft is offered).
