Watched this kids tape again last night and continue to be very impressed. I'd think we'd have him at LB but he toasts the opposition running the ball. Nice to know we're going to get an honest look.

The Core 6 guys will be coming to ND in June - with the headliner being Miles Boykin.

Quite the turnaround in my eyes in the relationship between Core 6 and ND. I love the change.

Does someone have the capability to update the first post? This is a very useful thread every year, especially for the guys who don't follow recruiting as close as others. I don't think an relatively inactive poster should be taking the lead.

Can't say no to ND now that we stole away Sykes and Morgan.

“@johnsD28: Notre Dame just confirmed that the will have 5 coaches @SMSBFootball June 12-13!!! @SWiltfong247 @SDGHomes @JustCallmeBHunt @AllenTrieu”

First year ND has had coaches at the SMSB camp. Usually dominated by Big 10 coaches. Lots of the talent of the Midwest usually shows up

At the Oakland NFTC Frank Buncom, a safety, said he hopes to visit ND and a few others place. ND, Stanford, NW and Duke are high up for him. Good size, does not have an offer but does have a solid 4* rating. He doesn't have a lot of big offers though.

Weird that people expect us to get seriously in the race when we passed on a very similar prospect (Garrett Taylor) who was also looking for a ND offer.

Agreed. When asked by Star69 at BGI Loy's response was that he'd look into it but he knows there guys ahead of him on the staffs board. At this point I'd be surprised if we brought in any S thats not in the elite category.

After reading some more about Buncom on Scout it is somewhat odd. He carries a 4.0+ GPA, is taking AP courses and has a community service project he is working on. Based on his quotes he clearly understands academics and seems to target high academic schools, although he does note you can get a good education at other schools if you apply yourself. The somewhat odd part to me is that he claims 30+ schools have been through to see him recently and he talks to several schools (USC, Cal, Oregon, ND) yet has no offers from them. Maybe he is just on the back burner for these schools.

Per Anna, a name to watch at RB is Karan Higdon. He's currently a USF commit but has been in regular contact with ND. Education will be 50% of his decision and football will be the other 50%. I know a lot of kids say that education is "very important", but Karan has a 4.0 GPA and holds an offer from Dartmouth, so I think his interest in a good education is legit

This would be a solid 2nd back to take in this class. To add, this is a name that Loy has talked about for awhile. Has a very good relationship with Alford. His highlights are pretty darn good for being the 30th or so best RB in the country.

Watched 3 minutes. Cuts well and looks really fast. Not a power back, but overall I actually love his highlights. Not much as far as offers, but FWIW he committed in January.

He makes a couple guys looks silly with his jump cut. He gets from zero to 60 pretty quickly which is a good trait for Rb's.
