I love these threads. I know we'll have 75 of them between now and next season, but I like the opinions, dialogue and arguments that these threads create.

So ill say 10-2 and making the playoff.

11-1....can't get past Fla State. Miss play-off because they choose a few bullshat 10-2 SEC teams.

12-2 lose to FSU in the regular season, beat OSU in the first round, lose to SEC team in the championship.

11-2, lose to FSU in the regular season and then lose in the first semifinal.

At 11-2 maybe 10-3 at best but the defense still concerns me so I wouldn't be shocked if we have another season like this one especially with the schedule we have.

I don't think 10-2 will get us a playoff spot, but I hope I'm wrong because that's my way-too-early prediction.

Pretty much this. We will get snubbed for the loser of the SEC Championship game/10-2 team that didn't get into aforementioned SEC CG. Georgia comes to mind as a possibility.

SEC! SEC!

UNC, ASU, FSU, Michigan, Stanford, MSU... Three of those get us... Plus a wtf loss somewhere...

8-4... Par for the course.

If Tuitt and Niklas come back, 12-2. Without them, I will go with 11-2(10-2 regular season, bowl win)

Yup, there is zero chance that happens unless its a weird year like 2007 where no one goes undefeated.

D is a huge wildcard IMO. O should be the best we've had in the BK days.

8-4 or 9-3 if the D does not improve. 10-2 if the DBs gel, the DL is injury free, and Tuitt leaves. 11-1 or 12-0 if DBs gel, DL injury free, and Tuitt comes back.

Having a positive attitude about BVG coming in, EG coming back, Cole and Max maturing, optimistic thoughts of GB and TF running the ball, CB blowing the top off the D, and praying EGs return means aggressive playing calling, a larger playbook, etc... My OPTIMISTIC view is 11-1 and into the playoffs. Realistic view is 10-2 or 9-3, but I hope I'm wrong.

2015 I'm predicting 11-1 or 12-0 and into the playoffs.

yep, 10-2 we don't sniff the playoffs. 11-1 doesn't get us there unless we fall in a close one to FSU, we're in the top 5 when we fall, wax every sub par opponent, and even then we'd need a lot of luck.

For the record, I don't think 10-2 should get us in. It'd be hard to imagine a scenario when a 10-2 team would be in the top 4, but I suppose there's some crazy scenario.

IMO, if we get Tuitt and Niklas back, and Golson in good form:

FSU and Stanford: Low, probably lose both
ASU, LVille, USC: Hopefully win all three, could easily drop 1
Rice, Mich, Cuse: Should really win all three
Purdue, UNC, NW, Navy: Almost certain wins

So if I had to guess we lose to FSU, Stanford, and 1 of ASU, LVille, and USC. 9-3, Russell athletic bowl most likely. My hope is we beat all three of those teams to sneak into one of the 6 higher bowls.

What do you mean by "6 higher bowls"?

Rose, Sugar, Fiesta, Orange, Cotton... No idea what the 6th would be.

PS: Tuitt stays. We go 10-2 and lose to ASU & FSU and then we have a big win in a former BCS bowl.

It's the playoffs next year, so an undefeated season better damn well get us into one of the two rotational bowls that contain the four playoff teams.

How I understand it, there are 6 bowls (The Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, Cotton and Chick-fil-A.) that will have the playoff games rotated through. So just getting one of those 6 games doesn't mean you are in the playoffs. You have to be picked for one of the two playoff bowls.

Am I missing something?

No MSU next year.

Agree with the D being the question mark going into next year. Regardless, I think the offense overcomes the early season defensive hiccups, getting the Irish past a dysfunctional Skunkbear squad and into their first bye week. With a solid game plan for Stanford, they ride momentum through UNC and give FSU a run for the money to no avail. They drop one to ASU before wrapping up the season's home games and going out with a big win in Troy.

11-2 with a bowl game win over an overrated SEC squad. Let's say Georgia.

So you think we will go 11-1 in regular season, with our schedule, and not make the playoffs?

Not being a dick, honest question.

Nah, 10-2 with regular season losses to FSU & ASU. Sorry, wasn't very clear on that.

If we get the red zone O figured out: 10-2.

If not: 7-5.

Schedule's brutal.
