Out of the alleged fullhouse backfield, which one of them do you think is the designated 'PA fake for a TD' guy? I say Stockton. He's smaller and would be more hidden, if you will.

Tuitt might be fast enough...

Kelly notes that Notre Dame has a "nice two-man rotation" at dog linebacker with Danny Spond and Ben Councell.

Getting open on goal line trickery has little to do with speed. It's about the unexpected, which is why I vote Stockton.

Wait are we actually being serious about this?

I thought Panda was joking.

I vote we give it off to one of our running backs behind our stud OL.

Out for the spring game: Dan Fox, Nicky Baratti, Bennett Jackson, Amir Carlisle, Corey Robinson (hyper-extended elbow).

Brian Kelly has arrived for his post-practice press conference, says Irish worked the fullhouse backfield with Nix, Tuitt and Stockton.

Hide Everett in a scrum with Nix, Tuitt, Stockton and the five 300+ pound o-linemen, might as well make it a 2 TE set as well. That could be the heaviest 11 men on the field at one time ever.

Irish Chocolate has been wanting to do a 'Fridge reinactment for some time.

Grace is going to add the speed to the corps. Manti didnt have the speed Grace has

Just a Manti reminder:

Maxwell Award
Chuck Bednarik Award
Walter Camp Award
Bronko Nagurski Trophy
Butkus Award
Lombardi Award

I have no idea what kind of speed Grace has, but he's got some HUGE shoes to fill. Let's hope he's up to the task.

Hey now, this is the Spring/offseason where unfounded optimism runs rampant and all the incoming players are superior to all the outgoing players. How dare you try to bring us back to reality.

Manti didn't deserve any of the awards he received last year, average LB stats, just a feel good story /other fans

I wouldn't say he didn't deserve any of them but not sure if he deserved all of them. If a CB had the most INT and close to that title in tackles, wouldn't they be deserving of all or most DB awards that season? Manti did a lot for this team and he wasn't just a feel good story. He was almost single-handedly responsible for keeping Denard in check, something no ND defense has done ever. He was a big part of the multiple goal line stands against Stanford. He had 1 bad game and that was the Alabama game but to be fair, nobody on defense had a good game. He turned the OU game around for good with his pick. He made plays at exactly the right time all season. So just because he didn't have a good 40 time at the combine and played very poorly in the NC game doesn't negate all that he did do during the regular season.

I may have misspoke. Evidently they are going to be on ND's campus. So I don't know if they are going to take questions from callers or if its from people actually on campus attending the "Town Hall".

I think BK should put 2 more OLinemen in the backfield along w Nix or Tuitt. This would be 2 more guys that are trained at blocking from an offensive stanpoint. Let the D know who is getting it (Nix or Tuitt) and try to stop him running behind 5 starting OLinemen, Niklas and 2 backup OLinemen coming out of the backfield. Good luck.

Offensive line rotation coming into focus | Inside the Irish

This from BK’s after-practice media session today, when asked about linemen that were capable of playing “winning football,” a key evaluation principle for Kelly and his staff:

“You’re talking about Stanley, you’re talking about Hegarty, you’re talking about Hanratty, and right on the fringe of talking about Elmer there, too,” Kelly said. “He’s going to need some more work. But he’s made some really good progress. Plus your five.”
