-6 means Georgetown is a 6 point favorite. +6 means ND is a 6 point underdog.

No, there isn't a difference. It is just different wording. Saying ND +6 is the same as saying Georgetown -6.

This will be a gut check for this team. I have a feeling that their gut is solid. I expect them to come back and play really well - well at least good enough to cover. If they can win, there is no telling how far they can go in the NCAA. In the Big East, expect a quick exit as the Irish never play well in MSG for some reason.

Brey teams for the most part are inconsistent. Don't get me wrong, I love Brey and all he does is win but Notre Dame basketball will never have the athletes to make deep tournament runs. They lose too many times to weaker teams and this is why we will most likely never make it past the 2nd round of the tourney.
