Junior Ishaq Williams is cross training at defensive end and outside linebacker. Kelly said he's looking very good at end.

I'm in favor of Martin Watt Martin Lombard Stanley

I've thought for a while Martin and Stanley were the best newcomers

I know it's forbidden to think that Hendrix would consider leaving. Don't think he will, but we'd be ****ed if he did.

Thinking we should look deeper at Kentucky basketball's model. One and done. Go after 5 stars only, then they're out.

No mess, no muddle, luv ya, bye.

Because of what? His amazing career stat line just screams we are doomed without him? He may be 4th string by the time summer camp is over.

The kids that are transferring didn't seem to be moving up the depth charts, they were far from home outside of Kiel, and they all want to play now. Transfer seems like a solid solution for them and that's fine by me. No heartbreak here and no butt hurt either. Good luck young men, but at same time ND is going to be just fine without them.

Dude. We only have Tommy Rees and Everett Golson at QB IFFFF Hendrix transferred. Our only other QB would be a third string freshman. We wouldn't even have a 4th QB, lol.

I understand that if we don't have an injury, a Hendrix transfer would literally not matter. But if we did, we'd be ****ed.

Maybe it's just my poor affinity for Hendrix's abilities that make me not so concerned. I understand it's not ideal to have 2 experienced and one true frosh but if the coaches are being upfront with the media our true frosh QB is quite the stud. I don't recall them every talking about Hendrix in that manner.

I don't think much of Hendrix either, but preserving a year for Malik is huge and Hendrix is key to that.

This is hypothetical and really just a bit chicken-little, but for the sake of argument yea, losing our scout team QB would hurt.

I'm not sure a frosh lefty running the scout would be ideal.

Also not sure if we have any walk-on qbs that can run the scout team.

Reading between the lines a bit, it makes you wonder if Ferguson saw a logjam in front of him. Even with Neal’s departure, Ferguson was likely battling for time at the outside receiver spot, where Davaris Daniels has solidified himself and Chris Brown looks poised for action. Early enrollees James Onwualu and Corey Robinson have been practicing this spring. Will Fuller and Torii Hunter Jr. are set to arrive this summer.

Why does it matter that Malik is left-handed? I think some people are way over-thinking this aspect of his game.

Über religious fanaticism. Haven't dispelled superstitions from ages ago. Malik will respectfully break that nun's ruler quickly.

i've always accompanied my hesitance (this early), not of MZ's game, but of the offensive line (and more specifically the LT/RT), and how they adapt to a lefty. it cannot be denied that it is different for them.

It matters because the angles are different in terms of the ball coming out of his hands, his blind spot is different ... basically having a lefty QB makes the passing offense backwards.

But I totally agree with you that, just in general, people sometimes overthink this. There have been plenty of successful left-handed QBs whose teams have been able to figure this out how to adjust to this. Steve Young and Michael Vick come immediately to mind. I'm sure there are others.
