Ok, ok so I shouldn't have put it in a recruits thread and it deserved to be deleted, but GB I just want to make sure you get this:

Can someone explain to me why so many II members hate Tim Prister?

ND offered Cali 6'3" twins Tyree and Tyrell Robinson. Both are 4 star recruits for basketball and football

Is it true that Tyree only has ND and UCLA offer and Tyrell only has ND, USC, and UCLA offer? Awful low total for elite prospects

Would be a huge get for ND, like our chances with Denbrock, Kelly and Brey vs Anyone on the West Coast except UCLA

Tyree is S and Tyrell is a OLB

It is early but looks like both have bball offers from UCLA and San Diego St

If thats true it probably has to do with basketball I would have to assume.

Yeah I'd guess football coaches are getting the vibe they might go the basketball route. Wonder what their basketball offers look like.

The California Robinsons were on the football radar early, but their own interest then seemed to strongly shift towards basketball with lots of AAU-type playing and those sorts of skill-show-off venues. I viewed their athletic track as clearly not football-oriented and I think that most coaching staffs must have as well [thus the paltry number of football offers]. I believe that it is 247 which ranks Tyree as a high DB prospect.

Perhaps these guys have changed their minds somewhat and have put word out that they're more interested in football now. 247 had Tyree ranked in its top 247 players, I think, so they're seeing something [more than I did in the tape, but I'm no expert tape evaluator].

So if he wanted to commit now they wouldn't let him? Or could they very well take 6? Is there any lineman in particular they are worried about? I have 17 more questions.

ND was in Texas today at TE Christian Morgan's HS. Looks like he can play DE to. More of a blocker than receiver at TE

We are REAL "offense-heavy" in the verbals right now. If you arrayed them across the field, the whole offense would be filled except the RB/Slot hybrids. On the other hand, we're nearly empty for the most part on Defense [except two fine CB prospects and Matuska, assuming he plays DE]. Not having infinite scholarships [unlike Alabama] and probably also needing a kicker [for Turk], we need to be all-in on Defense methinks --- except for some flashy game-breaker backs [and maybe just one of those, given GAIII, Mahone, Russell, Neal, with folks like Brown maybe able to fit there too]. These ideas about other Offensive positions don't make a lot of sense to me, unless, God forbid, the staff senses decommit rumblings somewhere. We're at the Rochell, Smith, and associates, stage I hope. Time for the linebackers and the pass-rushers.
