Been awhile since ND had so many top flight athletes at every position. Its all on the QB as to how big a run this team makes. All the pieces are there. On that note good to hear Hendrix is more than a situational QB.

Jake brown compared jaylon's physique to one of those under Armour mannequins that they put the model clothes on. I got a kick out of it.

Last video clip from UND of the camp. Glad they made sure to make half of it an advertisement.

Our offensive weapons are impressive. Especially impressed with how much the freshmen are showing early (Corey Robinson with another great grab, Folston and Bryant showing a burst, Fuller looking good, Onwaulu looking solid). The future is bright.

You got that right, geez...

I'm convinced Tommy's arm has gotten stronger. He may not launch it 70 yards but he is definitely getting the ball to receivers with more velocity.

Cole Luke seems to be the front runner as the nickel back

Josh Atkinson is crossing training at S and WR or just WR, not sure

Tony Springmann out for the year with dislocated knee and ligament damage

Jaylon Smith has taken the majority of first team reps at DOG, BK reiterated that both he and Councell will play a lot.

Also, Tommy flew out to Colorado to prove that he could throw it over the mountains. Tossed it over no problem, slammed a beer, and walked off commenting that he expected the Rocky mountains to be a little rockier than they were.

As a base defense this year with Shembo playing the SAM LB spot, Fox or Calabrese as the MIKE, and Jaylon as your WILL. It will allow you to bring the blitz with Shembo as necessary and you can occasionally engage Jaylon on the speed rush. I think you'll see Councell used a lot, especially in the 3-4 sets, because of his superior size to Jaylon... or if Jaylon can't hold up well enough at the point of attack on running downs.

He will lose a year as he redshirted his first year. You have 5 years to play 4.

Probably back from California. My understanding is he's suspended for the semester, so back in January. Wouldn't make much sense academically to show up in late November anyway, that's two weeks before finals.
Either way, he's got two years of eligibility remaining after this season.

I am not sure what his suspension was. If one semester, then he would be able to enroll in January and participate in Spring training. If a year, then he wouldn't be able to enroll until the Summer.
Of course, after he enrolled, res life could impose some restrictions on athletics.
I hope he can return in January..

I doubt it. He can't enroll mid-semester (more like end of semester). I'm sure Kelly just meant he will be back in South Bend by Thanksgiving and get ready to enroll again for the spring semester. I can't imagine a situation where he would be playing this season if he didn't attend any classes.
