Doesn't Martin have another year of eligibility after the upcoming season?
If so, he needs to return and dominate for two more years if he hopes to be a first rounder.

Depending on a few circumstances I could see three first rounders next year.
-If a late picking team (Houston?) needs a TE
-If Wood kills it this year
-Could see Teo as a Steeler or Raven next year

Overall I think Cave, Riddick, and Slaughter all get drafted too.

Trent Richardson was the first running back drafted in the first round in several years, I believe.

Plus Cierre Wood does not have the game-breaking speed or the tackle-breaking ability of a dominant #1 NFL back.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but there has definitely been a RB drafted in the first round every year since 2000 and probably every year before then too. Usually 2-3

I think Wood is potentially better then Doug Martin and David Wilson.

I don't think that was a shot at Kelly, just showing love to Weis since he got canned.

Yep Weis recruited you guys, but didn't put a single of his players in the first round. Kelly made Floyd a first round selection. Kelly and staff made Harrison Smith a first round selection.

Now that I think about AA's tweet, I don't think that is a shot at Kelly either. They are juts showing love to the coach that got them to ND.

Yeah all of those guys are elite studs. Wood is not at that level and I don't see him getting the carries to justify getting a first round grade.

I hope Floyd and Smith can have solid pro careers. It sucks seeing Notre Dame guys going in the 1st or 2nd round then just fading away.

And you have to consider that there is no longer a premium on RB....So you gotta be pretty damn special to be taken in the first round.
