Its not confirmed but my buddy writes for scout and he is from Illinois and is close with Diamond. He told me Diamond is planning on visiting this weekend, its not confirmed but would just like everyone to know.
Notre Dame was pretty impressive, got to see a practice, met some players, saw the facilities, felt like i can potentially play for them... Expect the Unexpected
Rumblings that he's a silent verbal to Michigan. One of numerous players suggested at the rumor.
"The campus is enormous," Diamond said, when asked about his experience at Ohio State. "It was big but everything was close together as far as football and academics wise."
"I talked to all of the coaches," he said. "I talked to head coach Jim Tressel and he was a down to earth guy and he's got a sense of humor. It was just kind of cool getting to see the coaching staff. Coach Tressel is a good guy and coach (Jim) Bollman is a good guy. I got a chance just to really get a good understanding of what they're doing and I can't wait to go back."
"Everybody is pretty even right now but Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame are obvious to me that they will (be on the list)," he said.
I think Diamond will be a skunk bear when it's all said and done.
Good luck trying to block Aaron Lynch!!!
The decision might come sooner than I expected..???!!!???
Michigan's to lose.
A weak Michigan showing this year will fix that. Everyone is excited about a new coach at a big program, but if they have a poor showing this year, they will lose some of these guys. I don't think they will be much better than .500 this year. And I expect them to lose to their rivals like Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.
I disagree.
Every single one of Michigan's current 11 verbals is from Michigan or Ohio. Brady Hoke is returning to Michigan's basic recruiting philosophy: Mop up the top prospects in Michigan and Ohio, grab a couple kids from the rest of the Midwest, and call it a day. Rich Rod abandoned this philosophy and tried to snag the speed recruits from Florida, one of the practically innumerable reasons nobody liked him at Michigan.
This is an entirely different philosophy than Notre Dame's, which basically amounts to "Get the best recruits. Period." Which explains why Michigan has more verbals than we do. It takes a lot longer to convince a kid from Florida to go to college in frigid Indiana than it takes to convince a lifelong Michigan fan to stay in state.
Michigan won't see a lot of attrition.
4-star offensive tackle Jordan Diamond from Simeon in Chicago, Ill., has cut a long list of offers to five schools. Auburn, Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Iowa are the finalists for the nation’s No. 60 overall prospect, who now plans to make a decision this summer.
“When I went down there (to Auburn), just about everything (was special),” Diamond told 247Sports. “I have to get back down there on (May) 28th (Big Cat Weekend) and further my evaluation. Hopefully I can meet some of the potential players at Auburn and hopefully we can make something happen.”
I could live with him going to Auburn. Would have like him at ND but Auburn over Michigan any day.
