Chudzinski did a good job bringing Cam Newton along. Hate to see Carolina lose him. Dont know how much he knows about Defense tho, so he is going to have to do something special with hiring a DC.

rob ryan's available.

Interesting as I kept hearing this season that Monte was the problem in Troy. Apparently the Cowboys don't think so.

well Monte's scheme is what decades old? he would never have seen anything like Oregon's offense in the Pro's.

Monte Kiffin struggled in college for 2 reasons:

1 - His team had poor tackling form. In NFL everybody has poor tackling form and it is all about athletism.

2 - He never got a handle on the spread offense.

He has had success though in the NFL and should be better there.

I like the hire. We all knew that the Bears weren't going to go big with a guy like Cohwer or Gruden. That's not their style.

Trestman is an offensive guru that is considered one of the country's best QB minds. He actually worked with both Cutler and Campbell before their drafts. He has a bunch of NFL coordinating experience and has been a great CFL head coach. The guy has a long track record of winning wherever he goes. Finally... sounds like they are going to keep Marinelli as the DC, which is huge.

It is a smart, well executed hire. Not a flying by the seat of their pants college hire like the Eagles.

People are sketical of the Canada part but he has NFL experience. Also to me going to the CFL to the NFL is less of strech going from college to the NFL. Sure fundamentally the game is more different in the CFL; while it is different X and O wise (12 guys) in CFL the non X and O stuff dealing with professionals and such much simular than college.

I like Marinelli part. I got excited when I heard that. No need to mess with the side of the ball that isn't broken.

Would like for him to keep Dave Toub on as Special Teams coordinator also.

This isn't happening. Testman is going to hire a new DC. Too bad I was hoping to keep some continuity on defense.

The defense isn't what it used to be. I was shocked when they said they would retain Marinelli.

Mike Groh is taking the job with the Bears as a WR coach. 24/7 Recruiter of the Year.

Bama is replacing him with Billy Napier.
