I saw a tweet that Chryst's buyout at Pitt is like $6 M, no wonder he is "committed to Pitt." This also makes Alvarez look incredibly silly b/c Bielema's buyout was only $1 M.

I'm not so sure WI wanted Bielema to stick around that badly. At least that's what I've heard from my WI buddies.

Yeah I'm not a fan of Trooper Taylor. Needs to coach more and wave towels on the sideline less.

You know he will land somewhere. I dont even know if the guy knows what a wide receiver is, he just recruits. Reuben Foster said he would go wherever Trooper went. Their class is going to completely crumble.

Was just going to post this re: Foster. As far as the class crumbling, would love it if we could steal Bower.

Did not know about Trooper Taylor's shadiness, just that he got top recruits. Obviously I don't want anyone shady. Gotta do it the right way at ND.

Here is the latest....NCAA investigating Auburn's football program - Yahoo! Sports

Also, can't forget about this. Let's take a little trip to South Florida. Enter Antron Wright, the man many south Florida recruits claimed led them to University High, a controversial and polarizing correspondence school, and could quite possibly be the nations first well-known example of a street agent with ties to college football. While we have been led to believe that the emergence of street agents is a relatively new problem for Division I Compliance, Mr. Wright shows us he pioneered the idea. Wright has been using his 7 on 7 camps as a way to steer players to the network of coaches he has acquired. The concept behind these camps is really quite brilliant. The coaches, athletic departments, & boosters pay these agents who, in turn, funnel the money to the player & his family. This intricate pay 4 play model allows the agent to literally be the money launderer. Just another Mafia style transaction often implemented by these dirty programs.

One reason Wright is a favorite with dirty coaches like Trooper Taylor is because he will do whatever it takes to deliver these 4 and 5 star recruits. Wright is known to seek out recruits with exceptional athletic abilities but lack the grades to qualify for the D1 schools standing in line for them. A few years ago, he discovered University High, a "diploma factory" that had no classes and no educational accreditation, and appeared to have offered the players little more than a speedy academic makeover. Here is a link that explains this operation in great detail:

Poor Grades Aside, Athletes Get Into College on a $399 Diploma - New York Times

Wright and Taylor have had a friendship dating back to his time at Tennessee. Taylor has publicly acknowledged being friends with Wright.

While Taylor was an assistant coach there, Demetrice Morley was heavily recruited. Morley was a by product of University High that was allowed a D1 scholarship based on a GPA jump which was due to a NCAA loophole. The center of this was the scandal at University High. On January 14th, 2007, it was reported that he was no longer enrolled at Tennessee. According to several of Morley's teachers he had the potential to succeed in school and become a professional athlete but his shortcuts obtained by using University High prevented this from happening.

Wright's business model was quite simple. He would go in and find kids that were having trouble qualifying academically and lure them to University High. For $399, they could obtain a diploma and qualify academically to play on the D1 level.... As long as they were enrolled in his school. Morley was just one of many kids who fell victim to Wright. Another NY Times article revealed this back in 2007.

Finally, there is the whole Choice Prep fiasco that is well chronicled here: A notorious Miami football recruiter has a new "diploma mill" - Page 1 - News - Miami - Miami New Times

All in all, Trooper and his associates are as dirty as they come.

I was hearing similar rumors. It sounds like his relationship with Alvarez might have begun to deteriorate. Alvarez said he wasn't sure that he would let BB coach in the Rose Bowl.

This is an excellent hire for Purdue. I'm not happy about this. Hazell is a friend of a friend and a terrific coach.

There will be some good Kelly-Hazell games in the future I can promise you that.

This is a good hire. Purdue usually has some good talent and you can win there. If Hope would have just played Marve at QB instead of a three man rotation he would probably still be the coach.

Reputations, sir.
EDIT: Nevermind, the hamster in my computer tells me I cannot do that right now. I'll get ya back later.
