Rumors of Chris Peterson to Arkansas. Would be huge.

Peterson has a lifetime job at BSU.

Arkansas was mid tier in the SWC and isn't any better in the SEC. They will have a year now and then but mostly then. They're historically a 59% winner.

Holtz and Hatfield were around 75% winners but they weren't Frank Broyles. Ironically Broyles was a 70% winner. Since Hatfield only Nutt who was run off and Peterino who ran himself over were better than 59%.

Just as in the SWC, ARK has a small recruiting base. They use to take Texas leftovers now they take SEC leftovers.

It's probably a bigger salary than BSU but Peterson will win 80 - 90% of his games at a school with realistic expectations if he doesn't move. If he goes to ARK he'll be gone in 5 years.

But does he want to compete for an NC? Given the new playoff system, Boise State will never get a chance to play for a title.

This would be a great destination for Western Kentucky's Willie Taggart. He is from Florida and recruits well there. After WKU stumbled at the end of the season I thought his chances to move on might fade, but Purdue has supposedly already been in contact with him. USF makes much more sense than PU.


Note: This link is incorrect that Willie guided WKU to 2 bowls, they have been bowl eligible both last year and this year, but were not selected last year and likely to be passed over this season as well.

Hopefully he is doing this to gain experience in the interview process. I've known guys to do interviews just to gain that type of experience.

On the off chance he does leave for BC, I will lose a bit of faith in the NCG game.
