He's not an EE, so I doubt they can have him put on 20-30 pounds in two months. More than likely an APB guy in his first year

Not really talking about two months. I'm sure they've given him a plan to follow before he even shows up, but I'm more or less talking about his first full season.

keep him lean and let him do many things. making him a between the tackles RB is silly you dont hitch a wagon to a ferrari

This is kind of where I'm at.

He doesnt have a very big frame so I dont know how fast weight will come to him. And he looks pretty lean naturally. Im not saying the juice wont do its thing but not sure if his body type will allow him to be a between the tackles type back.

I could see him a great for running routes out of the backfield as well as lining up in the slot. Pass blocking 275 lb DEs and 300 lb DTs...not so much

His body has changed a whole lot in the last two years if you look at the pics. He's 180ish right now and 5-10, and has thickened up in the legs and arms. Still pretty narrow and room for muscle IMO. I think he could easily put on 10lbs of additional muscle before showing up. I wonder if he's stopped growing vertically.

If you look at Swift and Etienne in HS, there's about a 10-15lb difference and both made pretty good gains from Jr to Frosh years.

I just hope they don't rush him. I think he could easily add 10-15lbs, but don't really want them to put on more that that in a years time. I could see him being 210-220 by his JR or SR year with simple steady muscle growth.

You're probably right on the plan, but let's be honest, even him following it its hard to imagine getting 10 lbs by summer. And as far as I've heard its pretty hard to put on muscle during the season, especially if you are getting game action. So that reasonably gives him the summer to put on some muscle where his lifting and eating is really controlled. I think 10 lbs by the start of fall camp/ the season is pretty realistic and I would think would be the expectation, but I'm definitely no expert.

I think adding ten and getting up to 190 by camp would be pretty awesome if he didn't lose speed.

Him, Shipley, Johnson, Meyer, Buchner would be quite the assortment of talent on the offense.

Maybe we should've said thank you to Long instead of shitting on him after he left.

After his visit to Oklahoma, Tyree told Long and Taylor that he was likely going to Oklahoma. He even gave a silent pledge to Oklahoma, per Loy's sources. But thanks to Long and Taylor, they quickly changed the momentum in this one after a phone call with him.

Per Loy.

I'm still somewhat surprised that Tyree isn't rated a 5 star on ALL ranking sights. Everything you see/read, he appears to be a clear cut choice for that high of ranking!

I think it is a combination of injury and size that kept him from that 5 star status.

Kind of amazing if you recall there was a RB out of Merrilville, IN that Weis signed. He had a knee issue in HS but was really big and fast. He was 5 star. Never really did that much on an average ND team. For the life of me I cannot recall his name

Let's change his rating to 1 star then surprise everyone when he kicks butt.

Dude went by Moose in high school. Was enormous running the 100m in track. Good memories watching him wreck people. That was when he was in St. Louis.

Yeah was super excited when they landed him. Wish things would have went better for him while at ND

huh? ND lost the fastest player in the 2020 class?

I think he's referring to this.

Shocker. At least he won’t have to worry about getting beat out next year by Lenzy.
