OK, Mr McGregor's got some bunnies AND more importantly, some long arms.

For all you regular humans bound by the laws of gravity, play #1 is pretty impressive for a 6-5/240 something pounder.

Just moved up my ladder.

Love the prospect, but I think he grows into a SDE. That frame will hold a lot of really good weight. I think we add McGregor, Mills, and another Drop

Compared to what we already have in Okwara, he looks pretty slow to be a drop. I think he's a SDE all the way.

He's a really important recruit though. They will need to continue bring in quality defensive ends if they want to continue this success.

I wasn't saying he'll BE a Drop, just saying that he had the ball skills on that play. I've been on him as a SDE when the analysts were saying ND liked him at Drop potentially. He's gained a ton of weight just since ND got involved. McGregor's self reporting at 255 right now. He's gonna play @ 280+ in college if he's a real 6-5.

Gotta like Drop skills coming from a LB background, rolled into the strongside with length and plus athleticism. Ade Ogundeji has flashed at SDE and could be the starter in '20... McGregor is much more athletic than he was as a Jr.

Comparing anyone ND has been close to at WDE to Okwara is a waste of time. He's in a different universe.

I know comparing him to Okwara is unfair, but its just reality. Okwara is your prototypical Rush End in today's college football. He's fast, strong, and has gotten really good against the run as the season has progressed. Comparing McGregor and Okwara is comparing apples and oranges, but McGregor (if he was a drop) would be competing against the Okwaras of the world in practice.

Did Wiltfong back out of his ND CB on Sunday night?

If so, did he give any reasons publicly???

And why didn't anyone relay this? We get a bad development and no one cries about it anymore???

What's in thee hell is going on around here? I must be in the Twilight Zone.

Looks like he went undecided, ?

Not that I've seen.

Progress, no need to cry about anything on January 28th.

Oh no... we need freakout. It keeps me alive and laughing!

Then you need a 247 membership, that place is in a constant state of freakout. You'll be alive and laughing for a very very very very very...…….long time.

that's some big offers for a 89 rated kid from MI

He's not an 89, closer to a 99. He's a unicorn when it comes to athleticism. I was skeptical in the beginning and Mills was way above him on my board but then the interest/offers took off and you have to take note of that. Then I really started looking at his film and film of him from his teammates Hudl pages and he doesn't pull any Kevin Pyne's. But what has sent me over the top is his basketball highlights. This guy is way different. His explosiveness on these one step flushes are extremely impressive, especially for a guy his size. That's gonna translate.

These are guys that ND needs at this stage of the game, 5* athletes that have the potential to become gamewreckers, even if they aren't 5* rated yet, they never become a 5*, or haven't produced at 5* levels on the HS field or at summer camps.

ND has enough very good players on the roster that they can take chances. I don't think McGregor is a reach by any means but you know there are starwhore Irish fans that are WTFing ND paying so much attention to a 3*. I had to correct a pack of them elsewhere when they questioned why ND would waste its time on a 3* OT named Tosh Baker who plays in a football wasteland like Arizona, when they can get anyone they want.

Baker & McGregor are at the very top of my list for '20 at #1 & #2. Bijan Robinson is the only prospect that could top them but it's too early in his recruitment for that.

yup. he had me at "McGregor" by the way. the dunking and rush/INT too.

Some Qs. 1) why the disconnect in ratings, and why are the services not adjusting better to the offers? and 2) did we ever find out about Fong's foggy?

He's SDE or a drop? Wondering if he's more like Kareem or Okwara

Michigan has for sure picked up mo hear the last couple weeks and pretty much tied it up with ND. Lorenzo said this is gonna be a typical ND Michigan battle for this recruit.

1.) Because the industry is full of analysts who don't know how to find/evaluate talent. Once the offers come, they must wait until their sponsored camps to give them a ratings boost. It's nothing more than a flock of mynah birds.

2. I haven't come across an explanation for it.

I don't know what he is right now. 95% of the time I'll call a 6-5/240+ Jr an SDE prospect but he might be a 5%er. I think he's athletic enough to play Drop and I think his participation in basketball and hockey give him advanced spatial awareness that the Drop needs.

It's pretty obvious ND's dream DL haul for 2020 is Ehrenberg, Mills, Keanaaina & McGregor. You just got an SDE commit so it's a lot easier to recruit McGregor as the Drop.

I think he could play both edges easily. Still think another 5 man DL haul is needed tho. I would add somebody like Jacolbe Cowan out of NC. Could be a Mills Spears type

We got a ways to go here so I wouldn’t get worked up about this just yet. He’s probably going to take quite a few more visits to the heavy hitters. ND, UM, OSU, Clemson, and Bama. So they’ll be a lot of informtation coming out of those.
