I don’t agree with that. His best relationships are with those associated with ND. Coach it’s easily Elston. Recruit is Mills. He’s even publicly commented on the reason he went back to UM was to see if he could bond with the players like he did at ND. So I’d say relationships are a W for the good guys. Whether that matters, remains to be seen.

I like the fact that it's one day after Tyree's decision. The staff showed in the past year or two that they like taking commitments on consecutive days. I truly think it's a coin flip so hope we can pull it off.

Also mentioned ND and Michigan staffs haven’t heard his decision and are both “uneasy” about not knowing where he’s headed. Plan is to tell coaches at 7PM on Friday. Loy also mentioned ND staff had told McGregor about moving up commitment date to make sure he secures a spot as they have some DLineman coming to campus in June (Melton & Yurosek) and while he’s a top of the board target there’s only so many DLineman you can take.

Is there a chance he wasn't sure of his choice when he made his commitment date but was resolved to make a pick while all his options were still open?

Yep, this one will be one to keep an eye on regardless of tomorrow until he signs his name in ink in December.

Either way, I'll probably see him at some point this fall. Only about 45 mins from my house, and it's not very often you have a top 100 recruit in your backyard in this state.

Based on what? All the recent reports indicate the exact opposite. Might need to back away for the koolaid

1) First, it's my opinion that Elston did the heavy lifting warranting the selection. This is why I started with "I still think".

2) Recent reports do not indicate the opposite. They indicate that nobody truly knows. So far, we've had conflicting reports. Some think ND-scUM, some thing ND-UF, the rest have no flipping clue. McGregor has done next to nothing to tip his hand to what decision he's making.
