Michigan had a great weekend. Bottom line. It sucks but that’s the way it goes sometimes. They might get as many as 10+ commits stemming from this weekend.

Was this the Big House BBQ weekend?

Apparently position flexibility isn’t appealing to him.

Ann Arbor is where talented high school receivers go to watch their careers fade

The staff didn’t push for him and I’m not going to question their judgment. They saw him in person, liked him enough to offer, but clearly didn’t put on a full court press. Let’s seal the deal with Xavier Watts and keep the door open for something better.

This.

I would’ve loved to add him as an ATH but shouldn’t be a big loss. And some recent good vibes with McMillan.

I think Jimmy likes to have them wait and announce all at once to grab headlines. Makes it seem bigger than it really is and gets other recruits itching to commit.

Both Holland and Loy posted about how things were actually trending in ND's direction even coming out of the weekend visit to UW. The expectation/communication was that he wasn't going to commit because of how close ND was and him wanting to take his fall OV. As I posted in his thread. UW does things a little differently than ND. They are high pressure salesman over there. Similar to Turner, last cycle, it wouldn't surprise me if this turns into more than just a UW commit that we never hear from again. I guess we'll see.

EJ put out the luck charms. Brunelle is now a top priority. ND wants him and Watts. EJ also mentioned that Michael Redding may be back on the table but it isn't likely. Rome Odunze is there too. EJ Smith and Marvin Mims are also potential candidates if Brunelle and Watts don't work out.

I think Jay Brunelle picks Michigan before July 4th. I think Michael Redding is committing to FSU before the fall but I also think Taggart’s coaching his last year so Redding is worth tracking. I believe EJ Smith has dropped at top 5 of OSU, Texas A&M, UGA, Florida, and Stanford with him likely ending up at Stanford if he’s got the books in order. Marvin Mims I’ve not heard a peep about in regards to him and ND so that’d be a nice surprise. It’s going to be interesting to see how WR shakes out cause it’ll be a lot of one time visitors to ND and then trying to get them to commit which is difficult. Mims, Smith, and Odunze have never been to campus.

EJ also stated that he has not changed his FC for ND yet . . . Thinks they are still in it.
