I am sure he will also visit Coach Prime as well. LOL....

With respect, this is a very bad take.IDK how you can make that claim as we sit today? Pyne was a great teammate, but you'll never convince me that there were not at least 50-60 QB's better than him last year playing college football at the Division 1 level. Heck I'd venture to say you could prolly find a handful D2 QB's that would've been a better fit for ND than him. To say that a 5 star QB talent isn't better is far fetched.
TBH Pyne is much better right now than Rashada. I will be surprised if Rashada ever plays a meaningful down at the P5 level.
Damn,… y’all heartless lolThis is hilarious. Poor little guy.
Even his Arizona State career was batted down at the line of scrimmage.
I don't see it with Rashada, or at least I don't see it to the level of how crazy this recruitment has been. He isn't Dante Moore or Nico.TBH Pyne is much better right now than Rashada. I will be surprised if Rashada ever plays a meaningful down at the P5 level.

"especially for the way he left"???
Weird. Buchner getting the job. Strong possibility of Hartman coming in. Recruits looking good.
Need to get a spot elsewhere. Teammates liking him. Weird approaching Whack.
This last part is pure speculation and doesn't even fit in the "likely" category. Playing in the bowl game definitely could have affected his landing spot. It's possible it wouldn't have but not likely. Some transfer QBs were good enough to pick their own timeline for transferring and still end up at a P5 program of their choice whenever they were ready to enter the portal. Pyne wasn't one of those. He also could have at worst played the bowl and not have affected his transfer status at all. At that point, the staff was not hankering to rush Buchner back besides spot packages and situations.
Not to mention half of this board was clamoring for Angeli anyways, so why do they give a fuck if Pyne was still here or not? People just want to have their cake and eat it, too. This last part is pure speculation and doesn't even fit in the "likely" category. And you have no idea if the staff was planning to use Buchner in spot packages. He looked 100% healthy in the game so they had no reason to hold him back. My guess is Buchner would have been rotating in regularly at worst.
Pyne gave all he had at ND. He owed nothing more and did what was best for him. Both parties were better off at the time of the decision. And given Buchner's performance in the bowl game, both parties definitely benefited after the decision.
Sorry man I disagree. You undervalue the talent level at the elite D2 level. Ferris St. has had a QB the past few years that would've been playing for ND this year. as much as we dislike Rees at times, the talent around Pyne made him adequate at the QB position, but there are countless more better than him. With respect, this is a very bad take.
He'll definitely be at the top of the depth chart to start I agree, but it's not going to be because he's more talented. It'll simply be based on experience. Rashada may be overrated by some if we wanna believe that, but I really can't see Pyne being more talented than him. He’s not a 5 star talent on any site and his stock is plummeting for on and off the field reasons. I am 100% certain Pyne will be ahead of Rashada on the depth chart to start the year.
I don’t like Pyne at all especially for the way he left but people are letting their dislike for that cloud how poor of a prospect Rashada may end up being.
FIFYY’all need therapy
Only thing that rubbed me wrong is the timing. He kind of left us high and dry for the bowl game, when he could have waited three weeks. (I know, I know, the musical chairs, but it wasn't moving THAT fast.)It's funny that some people are big mad about Drew deciding to leave when Buchner got healthy, we're bringing in Hartman, and big time recruits are coming in too. They didn't want him getting reps in the first place. These same people didn't say anything when Golson took reps all spring in 2015 and he was deciding to sneak out the backdoor to FSU without first telling the coaches.
Just wish them well. Drew made a decision that was best for him, we'll be fine on our end too.
The only people mad are the equipment guys. What are they going to do with all those 28 inseam pants and flintstone vitamins? It's funny that some people are big mad about Drew deciding to leave when Buchner got healthy, we're bringing in Hartman, and big time recruits are coming in too. If they didn't want him to go before the bowl game they probably should have waited till after the Gator to tell him they're bringing in a transfer. Pyne was obviously fine being #2 to start the season and it worked out well for him. Bringing in a transfer told him "You're not seeing another snap here." I'm not saying that's wrong, I like having Hartman. I'm saying Drew made the best decision finding a landing spot given that information and ND was going to survive regardless. Nobody should be upset.Only thing that rubbed me wrong is the timing. He kind of left us high and dry for the bowl game, when he could have waited three weeks. Now, it ultimately turned out fine, and probably he knew that Buchner was in shape to play, so I guess that's no harm really. But in the moment it felt like he was going back on all the team first hoo-hah we'd been hearing all year. Also felt dumb not to graduate if he was close, though I suppose that preserves his graduate transfer.
But yeah, with Hartman coming in and a healthy Buchner, Pyne had long odds to see the field for us in 2023. He should go somewhere he can play, and get there for spring ball. I'm kind of surprised/impressed he landed at Arizona State. I was figuring a G5t. Hope he has a good year next year. And I hope we have our best QB in a long time.
