reading 247 article on Bucknuts they pretty much said as great of a time as he had at OSU it was equaled by ND. ND 247 hinted ND has a slight lead and that wouldn't surprise me. Having the night at ND was probably big in this. I think OSU/ ND the top two for sure with ND maybe with a little leg up right now.

Maybe this is the time we knock out OSU for a DB, but I've seen this story before

.9622 4* Lathan Ransom
.9558 4* Enzo Jennings (Possible CB/S)
.9465 4* Jordan Morant
.9397 4* Kristian Story
.9215 4* Makari Paige
.9178 4* Darius Snow
.8984 3* Justin Robinson

That’s a stud-filled board for the safety position. There are many other names, but I just named a few that ND probably has some semblance of traction with from reports on twitter and recruiting sites. Everyone on the list above (except Jordan Morant) has met Terry Joseph in person and on campus which is a tremendous start. I think some of them will be back for OV’s soon and I think ND is in great shape to land 2 great safety recruits. I don’t know what’s going on with Enzo Jennings in terms of being recruited at the position he wants (I think CB) vs the staff liking him at S, but I hope the staff does whatever it takes to get him in the class in whatever position he wants because he’s a stud. Ransom would be the prize and I think Joseph knocked it out of the park this weekend. I also think Kristian Story is going to be a monumentally tough pull from Bama but he was on campus for a game day visit and raved about and vowed to return. Exciting stuff at the safety position happening.

A couple of write-ups on both Ohio State and Notre Dame's visits. I think ND did well for itself this weekend, but the "good vibes" at Ohio State might win out. From a reading perspective it seems like ND won this weekend in terms of visits, but recruits rarely give away where they are heading based on an interview right after a visit. I think we'll see some more accurate results of this visit in the next few days.

We'll be fine here. Plus OSU doesn't have the silver tongue devil giving the sales pitch.

Do they only do this to point out how many good offers they have?

Also is for people who still don't know where they want to go, but don't want 30+ coaching staffs offering them and communicating with them. 14 is a lot, but more manageable to figure where he wants to go. Most kids however, it is them boosting their own ego.

I don’t think it has anything to do with getting others coaches to back off. Regardless, going from an ND OSU battle to top 14 probably means its time to turn the page.

I think that would be a huge mistake. If he’s still at a top 14, there’s a long way to go. He’s an absolute stud and should be recruited all the way to the end. Until he tells the coaches to stop calling him I’d be calling him.

I have a nephew that lives in Tuscon. He doesn't go to Salpointe, but he knows a lot of the same kids as Lathan. Right now, from what I'm told, it's an ND/OSU battle and it's not a coincidence that those two are the schools "in" his hands on the graphic.

That could change, but that's what I've heard recently.

LSU analyst Billy Embody CB'd Ransom to Baton Rouge.

He OV'd to LSU last weekend.

6/22/19 Ohio State
6/8/19 Notre Dame
6/1/19 Texas (rumored, not confirmed)
4/27/19 LSU
4/13/19 Oklahoma
3/21/19 Arizona
3/9/19 UCLA
2/24/19 Ohio State
2/23/19 Notre Dame

Here are his 2019 visits to his Top 14 schools. He made it or might make it to 7 of the top 14 and ultimately I think it comes down to Ohio State or ND for his services. I think LSU made a huge impression on him and he’s retweeted just about everything he can from them including changing his profile pic to an LSU jersey but I think two visits and the longer attention from ND and Ohio State will be the deciding factor there. As for OSU or ND, I think ND will need to knock the visit in June out of the park and hope for a typhoon in Columbus in late June or something not as great or as fun as ND’s weekend. I’m hoping for the best. For these far away kids, an unofficial visit followed by an official and inside his top 2-3-4 is doing just about everything you can do. I hope ND can pull this one out.

I'm tempted to say we need ransom this cycle if we want to hit on a high ceiling, low floor safety. Maybe I'm forgetting some players?

Chris Thompson Jr. - OV’ing 6/22 for the first time. Long shot
Lathan Ransom - gonna have visited twice before his decision. ND’s chances always go up w/ 2 visits
Enzo Jennings - has ND CB’s, visited multiple times, and still considering us. Maybe a CB/S
Jordan Morant - Michigan lean, visited ND and setting a return trip which is good
Kristian Story - I think outside of Bama, he likes ND. Visiting 6/22 for 2nd time
Makari Paige - not sure how much ND is recruiting but not too far away and visited multiple times

There’s a couple of big targets that Terry Joseph is in play for. I’d be more nervous about cornerback recruiting as outside of Clark Phillips I don’t see a lot of top rated guys coming to ND.

reps to both of you, had no idea we were in play for so many guys.

Need to be in play for a ton of guys.

2020 Roster (11 Scholarships)
RS SR Alohi Gilman
RS SR Shaun Crawford
RS JR Avery Davis
JR Houston Griffith
JR Tariq Bracy
RS SO Derrik Allen
RS SO DJ Brown
SO Kyle Hamilton
SO KJ Wallace
RS FR Isaiah Rutherford
RS FR Litchfield Ajavon

First of all, Alohi Gilman is essentially gone barring something wildly unexpected and I don’t believe Shaun Crawford will come back for a 6th year but I’m not positive. Basically in order to get to the ideal 4 deep at most DB spots (16) or close to it (14-15), ND is gonna need 5-6 bodies coming at minimum. Probably going to need 3-4 corners to go along with 2 safeties depending on what they think will happen with Houston Griffith next offseason (maybe moves to FS).

From Blair Angulo's (west coast 247 analyst) interaction with him at his showcase last night, he seemed to think it did.
