Still should have taken nana no matter what
how would you insist on achieving "no matter what"

Still should have taken nana no matter what
No there isn’t. ND recruited him like the top priority target at his position. We just might come up short. Not much else can be done. He lives in Texas, and a majority of the people around him want him at Texas. Can’t really fault the staff for that.
Meaning that they should continue to recruit even if he verbally commits to texas
This is crazy that they can lose both recruits like this considering how elston has been so invested in nana and kj wallace knows kenyatta. Hopefully we continue to recruit them both even after they commit
My guess is he announces a top 2 or 5 and/or changes commitment date to sooner than May. Not too sure.
“I understand Notre Dame is far away, but it would give me an opportunity to be different,” he said. “Not many people from my school have gone to Notre Dame, much less played football there. It would give me an opportunity to be unique.”
Texas, however, is home. And the weather doesn’t hurt.
“I like Texas because it is a lot warmer. I hate the cold weather,” said Osafo-Mensah with a smile. “I like the Austin area and I know if I have the opportunity to live in Texas down the road, that’s what I want to do, and the University of Texas sets you up in the state because of all the connections with the alumni.”
Osafo-Mensah hopes his official visits help him make his decision and he’s approaching those visits with a plan of action, just like he would an offensive tackle or math class.
“I’m just looking for the visit that makes me truly feel home,” he said. “I’m going to put myself in the position to feel like a student-athlete and visualize what it’d be like to spend the next four or five years there as a player and a student. My biggest thing I look at is what school I’d be happiest at if I got hurt and football disappeared. That will be my choice.”
This Texas article from today is saying the big news is that he will be announcing his top 2 or 3.

In regards to all of the CB's that swung to Texas a couple of days ago. The only one that concerns me is Greg Powers. All of the other guys are either homers or guys that appear to just watch what other guys are predicting and if their appears to be momentum, they flip the CB.
Gabe Brooks is the Midlands Region Recruiting Analyst that doesn't do many predictions and they are all Texas and Louisiana guys. He's been much more accurate that any of those Texas homers. He has left his CB on Notre Dame for the time being. If he flips, then I will start to panic. Until then, I'm not ready to concede Nana to Texas. We will have to work hard for this one, but it's still doable.
I’ve not spent much time there but what is so appealing about the weather in Texas? It seems hot as fuck in the summer but cold enough to be unpleasant in the winter.
If it’s going to be unpleasant, you might as well have five months of steel grey skies and lake effect snow, to make you actually appreciate springtime.
Also if his biggest reason to go to Notre Dame is to be different than the other kids from his high school, he’s not hearing the right sales pitch.
This will be the same case as Smith from VA our salesman aren't as good and we'll lose out like always.
From May to all the way through October you literally live in an oven. I don’t get the love for the southern weather like Texas Florida and Arizona at all.
The kids know nothing else and a lot of people are just straight up afraid of cold weather down here. Nobody spends much time outside during the heat of the day in summer and if the temps drop to the early 40s in the winter, people just don't leave the house.
Bunch of pansies, if you ask me
So, Brian Kelly retires and gets a house in Palm Beach, the rich ND alumnus who managed a hedge fund in Greenwich, CT finishes his career and moves to Palm Springs, CA. Lou Holtz lives in Florida, Nick Saban has a house in Florida. Rick Pitino was just fired and is living in Miami. No state income tax, extraordinarily reduced rates of pneumonia, flu, or cold during the winter months. What makes people pansies for wanting to live in good weather climates???
That, however, should not be the sales point. My coach used to say to recruits and myself, "Cold for 4, warm for 40." Nana shouldn't be worried about the weather. After he becomes a first round draft pick at ND, the kid can buy himself an apartment in downtown Miami and a nice house in Fort Worth.
Both Nana and Litchfields's parents immigrated from Ghana. I'm not sure if they've ever really had any interaction with each other, but hopefully that is something that they could bond over on this visit.
If he's posting things about the weather, you know the coaches are seeing it and countering it with examples of playing in cold weather cities in the NFL. They will probably remind him that academics was very important to him early on and if that's still true, that should be his biggest priority.
