He also mentioned the appeal of the Texas alumni base, within the state of Texas, for post-playing career opportunities...
ND can pitch that on a worldwide scale.
Yep, open your eyes son. Don't be fooled by all those cute cowgirls. That ND diploma will put you in a place where you can have cowgirls the rest of your life, not just for four years.
As of 2014, ND was offering 4x the degree value to African-American football players.
Since then, the Longhorns have increased their GSR by 20% (good for them), but the ROI on their degrees decreased by roughly the same amount, so they're still not offering much of a value proposition.
One of the best weekends he's experienced in his life, and he's just at 50/50 with a return trip to Austin on deck....
Welp.
50/50 after his best visit, with a visit to the home town team coming up? It was a nice kiss goodbye from Nana.
It's like there's an echo in here

I already have to buy new tea leaves but if NaNa ends up in South Bend and Ellison stays in TX, I'll have to get a new pot and teacups too.
This felt one way and now feels the opposite. Let me off this ride, I want an elephant ear.
He just announced his top 2 with only 1 final visit left to take before announcing in a month. 90% of recruits would've said exactly what he said regardless of what he is actually thinking. If he is now favoring ND, he of course says it's 50/50. If he knows that Texas will likely be the place, he of course says it's 50/50. I will make an earth shattering projection and say that after his Texas visit, he will amazingly announce he is still 50/50.
I have no clue if this visit pulled/kept ND in the lead, but one thing I can almost guarantee, he is probably not 50/50 at this point. You guys are acting like we can take his comment of 50/50 literally. Recruits routinely say things to maintain excitement in their recruitment with the various fan bases. He is going to try to not tip his hand at this point so that his announcement in May has some drama.

I agree.
I think we took the lead back here, albeit maybe a slight one, but I think it's going to be hard to maintain that lead with going back home to Texas. And, his Texas OV still to come. Sounds like there are a lot of people around him that push that UT kool aid at him hard.
