I believe that we will win, I believe that we will win.
I now have that cheer droning on and on in my head. Thank you. lol

And it hurts so much! We are going to be elated when he picks ND but shit everywhere when he flips. Hopefully not the case in this one but so much truth.
Bud Elliott with an ND CB. Weird that it happens going into the Texas visit, but I'll take it!!
The general consensus around this recruitment, heading into the visit, is that UT has a lot of ground to make up with the parents. Which is a very big factor here. Finally, last night, the UT 247 site admitted as much. Even going as far to say he was (EJ Holland) pretty close to moving his CB to foggy in front of this visit.
I think speculation amongst the folks that have been on ND for awhile, is that it's very unlikely this takes place. There are very strong feelings among mom and dad, for ND. We'll see how this goes.

We've seen this movie before, and it's not always a happy ending. When all is said and done it's the young man that's going off to college, not his parents. Hopefully, there's a bond with Lacey, Spears, and Cross. The coaches have made it known that he is wanted at Notre Dame. The final decision is Nana's.
This pleases me a great deal but I hope he agrees with them. The last thing you want is a kid doing it for mom & dad. He has to have some internal drive to be at ND or that typically leads to wash out.

I was told (by IE babies) that this one was over and Elston was choking away the DL recruiting class?
What happened?
Were people quick to judge??
Don't count them chickens just yet

Understood, and the point of my post wasn't to insinuate that Nana doesn't like ND. He's been a fan of ND from a long time before even visiting. He has a great relationship with the staff and commits.
The reason what I posted is relevant is because the values that his parents hold, are the same that he prioritizes, as well. At least that's how I've understood it. So if it's 50/50 between the schools, and ND has the parents support, that probably helps make the decision for him. FWIW, I would never want a kid to commit to ND if he didn't want to but was being forced. That's not how I would view him choosing ND, at all. If Notre Dame was in Texas, this would already be a done deal.
It's recruiting.....there is no such thing as a "sure thing" until the dotted line is signed.
All nine of the verbal's are still vulnerable to de-committing right up to NSD.
Did you honestly not pick up on my rhetorical questions/sarcasm?
