He's slid down my board a bit as an SDE. JJ Weaver who's visited numerous times is my #1 pure 4-3 SDE followed closely by Howard Cross of NJ. Others like Joe Anderson and Hunter Spears are swing guys that will have 3-4 teams after them also.

Luckily for them, they're Wisconsin and Iowa's doormat. That's a lot easier to overcome than what Indiana has to accomplish in the East.

I’d be kind of shocked at this point if that’s where he ends up. I’m thinking way bigger things are coming for him, and he goes for that instead of the school ties.

I was going to respond with something like that like what if Auburn, A&M, Florida, Tennessee or... Notre Dame threw $6-7-8M at him next season...?

BUT

On the flip side, one thing Louisville does do with Papa's money is pay. The question is will they miss their window with him?

He's going to get offers after this season, but if Louisville finishes 7-5 or so, does a new AD jettison Bobby P. and make a run at Brohm? They could conceivably go 1-4 the rest of the way. If I'm the new AD there, I'm cleaning house of everybody, including Petrino.

Is Cross the son of the former NYG TE? If so his dads a great guy.
