I’ve always felt Marist was an NFL LB that just needed time to build his body. Well, the strength is coming along and so is his game. Big year ahead for Marist.

Significant lower body injury noted by Loy. Will be addressed Monday by BK. Oh boy . . .

This is not good. The good news is we have a ton of depth at those positions.. literally a ton

I think Marist was poised to have the most production of any of the LBs.
With that said, I suppose there's way worse scenarios that could happen -
like - JOK going down last year (way better than rest of teammates level of play/importance)
or - Jack Coan or Clarence Lewis going down.

It's our best position group, but damn does it still suck ass for him.

I think he'd have had less tackles than White or Kiser but his production was going to have the highest havoc rate.

Yup. On the II podcast this week the guys said that Marist might not grade out the highest out of the linebackers this year, but that he would have single handedly wrecked several halfs of football.

ISD mentioned it but I think you can say the production will be made up by others but Marist would be a way to get it all at one. He was going to be used in a variety of different ways that now you’d have to bring off Bertrand and bring in Bauer or Botelho depending where for example instead of Marist doing it all which makes obviously the defense less dynamic and more predictable

I'll say it again . . . Jack Lamb.

Don’t understand the point. He chose to transfer? I don’t think anyone would disagree that the more talent that stays the better but it’d unrealistic to not expect defects when you roll 2 deep already. There’s a alternate universe where someone else transfers and Lamb gets hurt too.

More of a good depth piece or potential starter given new coach

No injury is a good injury but I’d prefer to hear its foot related rather than an ACL/MCL or something even worse. Hopefully Marist is mentally handling it well and is a quick healer,

This sucks big time. Probably in my top 5 of players I was most looking forward to watching this Fall. Brutal.

Yeah as I had said when Botelho was confirmed to be playing, he's the guy I'm most excited to see this fall. Marist though was a close second. Man if neither were gonna be playing this fall? I'd be crestfallen.

would rather it be an ACL over a Lisfranc

Sucks - I was looking forward to seeing a flyin' Hawaiian unleashed. Prayers for a full recovery (quick would be nice too).

Under Armour strikes again...? Kind of kidding but not really

Is the UA cleats = more injuries a real thing? There has to be an out in the contract if it poses a demonstrable injury risk to our players.
