Turner:
I got news for ALL of you. If Jimmy Lake thinks he can play safety for UW and Clark Lea thinks he can play LB for ND then this kid is a LOT better than anyone in the stargiver industry can comprehend. The fact that these two are going at it over him like they are is all we need to know.
Agreed - this 3 star low ranked safety would probably also agree:

Speaking of Washington, what happened to them this year?
Browning sucks now, apparently. Both ND QB's are better than him. Gaskin took a step back.
Did they lose a bunch of OL, or did the Pac12 defenses catch on to their offensive system or something?
As previously stated, I know UW football a bit:
Pieces never clicked at the same time. 2016 the offense and defense were on point. The biggest difference between then, 2017, and 2018 is the lack of deep threat. John Ross declared for the NFL draft that year and they never had anyone to replace him. After 2016 they had 3 second round draft picks in their backfield. They've reloaded but if all of them had stayed 2017 would have been the year.
The defense this year is ridiculous but the offense just didn't have enough weapons to stretch downfield. You don't throw 40+ touchdowns in a power 5 conference by accident, Browning didn't have options to make up for arm strength after Ross left. Receivers either too short or not getting enough separation, etc. Gaskins hurt this year but still put up 1100+ yards. Would need 150 yards in the Rose Bowl to get his 4th consecutive 1300 yard rushing season even with missing a few games. He's still sneaky good and productive.
They had some baffling offensive play calls against Auburn (i.e. QB option play 1st and goal from the 10 yard line?!? The UW lurkers, if any, will be more upset at that than any of this Asa Turner stuff) but otherwise shut down the Auburn offense. Oregon was a missed kick away from winning. Cal was just a genuinely bad game.
Overall, I am still excited to see how they do against tOSU in the Rose Bowl - strength on strength with Haskins's offensive firepower against a loaded defensive backfield.
