We were -- at best -- in an even race with Florida and Ohio State by an objective source. That means 33% chance.

We were -- at best -- a coin flip for Patterson. Most thought we were not the favorite.

We have so much open scholarship space, I don't know that the staff is even thinking in terms of "spots" anymore. We know they'd take Brown AND Boykin, for example.

That’s tactful. No reason to kick the kid (and N.C. State, by extension). And maybe it’s even true. But if he’s not coming over a foreign language requirement, I dunno. Always the risk with the late-cycle recruits.
