He took a sack early from a CB and he had a chance to throw it away. The sack and fumble he had all day they only rushed 4 if I remember correctly and he ran into the sack.

Evans was wide open and he missed him there when it was 24-17.

For a veteran we need better than that.

I am glad they said we have to get moving and did something. But it shouldn’t have taken all that.
Yeah. It’s true. He’s not perfect. He still made a lot of good plays and led us to a blowout win against a very good defense on the road.

I could end up being proven wrong by season’s end, but that NC State D is legit — at least schematically. Sam and Gerad needed time to adjust, when they did, Sam settled in. This game will benefit them vs Ohio State — they needed a real challenge to respond to, and now they know they can adjust. Jayden Thomas and Greathouse were taken away, so Staes, Tyree, and Merriwhether chip in 250 yds and 2 TDS. That’s a huge confidence builder for the whole O.

Given how much the ball is distributed around this team, who do you plan to take away from the offense? Who do you take away on obvious passing downs?

And against a helluva D. Some of the best CB ND will face this season. Say what you want about Douche Doeren but their defense travels and rarely gets blown out. When haters look down their noses at ND beating NCST, I respond the same way I do when they say it about Navy: “if they’re so bad, why won’t your team replace one of their OOC opponents with them then?”
NC State hasn't been "bad" for a decade under Doeren. They appear to have an impenetrable ceiling of 8-9 wins, but he's steady. His identity hasn't changed over the years, physical football on both sides. He doesn't appear to have the OL or the weapons this year to really compete for the ACC but don't be surprised when you look up at the end of the year and they're 8-4 again.

Even if ND ends up 9-3 Sam will be at like 3,000 yards and possibly somewhere around 35-40 TD's I'm guessing with what he has done overall in his career that's good enough to get him to New York. Most likely it will be I'm going to guess Williams, Ewers and Hartman.

Id bet we would have to beat OSU and SC for that to happen.
