Way better than Kizer, Zaire coming out of HS..wouldn't go that far yet in confidence over Jimmy. You could tell he has better pocket sense than the last few guys for sure though.

Wimbush was a composite 98 (rounded up), Kizer 91, Kiel 99, Crist 99, Clausen 100. Phil's a 97. So highest rated since Brandon lol.... I think we all know he's likely better than anyone since Jimmy given hindsight.

This post is meant more as a positive for PJ than a knock on BW

PJ's sophomore year was statistically as good overall as BW's senior year.... 2500 yds passing 1200 yds rushing vs BW's 3100 yds passing and 750yds rushing.

Overall PJ was twice as productive as a high school player than BW, also PJ was by far the best player in PA this year. Wimbush wasn't even the best player on his team. BW got to pass to Minkah Fitzpatrick who was in hindsight one of the top players in the country in BW's big year.

I would lay a lot of BW's team success with Minkah .........whereas PJ played with great teammates.... but none in the league of Minkah.

Will any of his matter any? Probably not, but I do feel PJ is slightly underrated as a top level prospect whereas BW was probably overrated.

Have read a few things from different analysts saying Phil could be pushing for a 5th star during AA Bowl season. It should be, Phil looks to cement his 5 star status.

I mean no one is saying... "Trevor Lawrence is in danger of losing his 5th star if he has a poor outing in the same game."

I think the pressure is on the services to give Phil his 5th star. Rivals has him as the 4th best QB in '18 right now and he 100% out-perfomed the other three this year when all variables are tallied. The only player who has an argument is JT Daniels and even then Phil had more total yards and lead a more potent offense statistically albeit not against the same schedule Mater Dei faced.

Anyways, he deserves that 5th star based on his body of work this season and how his skill set translates to college (not the NFL like everyone is tripping over Trevor Lawrence for)

I seriously hope Lawrence, Fields, Jones all lay eggs on national tv while Phil shines.

Just watched the interview he did after the State Championship game. He reminds me of Gronk when he talks... happy, excited, has that it factor. That charisma at QB will be a joy to watch if he's who we think he is.
