I didn't realize 247 moved him all the way up to #2 DT. Good for them. That's what I called for earlier in the year and I would have made it #1 but I knew they'd never dethrone Taron Vincent with his IMG/OSU resume.

Wouldn't trade him for anyone in this class.

Let's be honest. Outside of Jay Ade, the rest of our guys are pretty severely underranked on this list.

Jurkovec at 100? C'mon. The dude was easily the most impressive QB on the field in the '18 class. Allen, Austin, Simon, Griffith and Lamb all outside of the top 100 is just utterly ridiculous. I could see one or two getting shafted understandably, but ALL OF THEM?

I complained about 247's credibility on the lists, and rightfully so. This list is just awful.

Phil's the best HS football player in the 2018 class.

They can't admit it because they stepped on their d!cks during Combine/7v7 season.

Film + Schedule + Production + Position = #1

And that's not being a homer because the only HS guy that possibly tops Phil is JT Daniels who he'll go head to head against a couple of times. Gonna top Quinn - Leinert & Clausen - Barkley.

Agreed. And PJ isn't the only one.

Another good example is Cam McGrone vs. Shayne Simon or Jack Lamb. It's really dependent on where you project McGrone, as Simon is going to be a ROVER or a possible BUCK down the line, while Lamb is a future MIKE.

McGrone admittedly has quality versatility, as I think he could play any of the LB positions. However, when it comes to OLB prospects, Simon > McGrone, and when it comes to ILB prospect, Lamb > McGrone. IMO of course. Lamb is doing all the things that McGrone can do, but doing it with a massive 6'4 frame. A guy Lamb's size shouldn't be able to cover like he can, but he can and does. Simon is just an athletic marvel for his size. A LB with a safety-like skillset and athleticism.

Yet, both of them are between 87 and 98 spots behind him. Smdh, 247 has really dropped the ball this year.

Watch DePalma turn into a robocop stat machine in Chestnut Hill. i love me some Matt Bauer but if he had a name like Vinnie DePalma, he'd be a 6* like Michael Stonebreaker.

DT Jayson Ademilola — No shocker here, but Ademilola has been really good in this setting. Sure, five-star offensive guard Jamaree Salyer has gotten the best of him a few times and that's what people are going to talk about. However, when those match-ups aren't taking place, Ademilola has been dominant. He has been disruptive, a high-motor guy, super-competitive, and a guy that will be in the rotation immediately at Notre Dame.

According to 247Sports National Director of Scouting Barton Simmons, he has been the "most disruptive guy on the east and the quickest interior defender here. He has a suddenness and quick-twitch about him that's impressive."

Although Ademilola isn't as big as some guys, his speed and quickness is exactly what Elko covets. 247Sports National Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong believes Ademilola could take reps at defensive end in South Bend and still make a ton of noise.
