There were a ton of schools that missed on this kid. Size was one reason.

He got offers from Alabama and OSU. Committed to Texas before de-committing and heading to Purdue.

He's not a typical "how did they miss him" story. He's the a-typical, spurned the big-boys story.

Yeah, I seriously doubt we could have snagged him once Brohm got his paws on him. He had the whole "We went to the same high school" angle that keeps getting brought up, and their personalities really seemed to click anyway.

Was in WL for work and headed out to watch Purdue's afternoon practice. Surprized to learn you can pretty much see everything standing on the raised parking lot adjacent to the practice field. I feel like I have been to dozens of D1 college campuses and practice fields are way more hidden/private than this.

Was fun to watch Rondale practice though, he's so twitchy and sudden and his breaks are filthy. Brohm seems like a really good motivator too, very vocal.

Matt Campbell coaches at Purdue?

My man.

Hot take: Brohm is overrated.

Or should I say, he's shown the ability to take a bad team to mediocre; a.k.a. the Brady Hoke skill set. He wouldn't even have taken Purdue bowling if Moore hadn't fallen in his lap.

I do have concerns with how he handled his first QB controversy at Purdue, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt based on recruiting and his track record of high-scoring offenses. I also like Nick Holt, who seems to be attached to him as DC.

If they light it up this year, he's basically on the BK path.

If they struggle in a B1G West that is suddenly surging, then I'll pump the breaks.

RELATED: Please do not besmirch a man's name by relating him to Brady Hoke.

Sitting out this year and declaring for NFL draft. Wished we got to see more of him in college. He was fun to watch.

I wonder if the decision has something to do with his significant injury from last year. He played in only a few games last year before the injury.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the draft. Only really has one season of college football without playing much the past 2 seasons.

He's got speed, and you know what they say about speed (They say a few things actually). Purdue probably feels a bit let down though given the fact he only gave them one season and it was his freshman year. Big flash in the pan.

College better stop this now or they are going to ruin the game.

How exactly are they supposed to do that? You can't stop a kid who wants to walk away from the program and is willing to deal with the consequences.

I don’t see this being a problem long term, guys have a built in excuse to sit out this year due to the virus. NFL teams won’t judge them the same pre pandemic for doing the same thing

This is certainly a loss for the Boilers, but I think David Bell will have a big season for them.

If they get enough games in I'm looking for a 100/1500/15 season.

He could give Devonta Smith and Jamar Chase a run for their money and at his time is up there for the #1 WR in the '21 draft.

How does his size impact his effectiveness in the NFL?

Will he have trouble getting off the line against bigger athletic CBs?

I assume he will be a slot receiver.

I agree with those numbers. He will be one of my top WR in my college football fantasy draft.

Wasn't ND recruiting him and he never made it for a visit?
