I'm hoping Dad wants his son to take a step up the ladder in education while not hurting his NFL chances.

But if you've got unquestioned DB skill set, OSU is turning out millionaires yearly. That's one of the reasons I was high on Jimmy Lake from UDub for DC. Their DB's balled out and they did it without a roster of 5 stars.

I guarantee you it will be an all out assault on HG and Bookie next year by the Irish. With Bookie joining HG at IMG, that makes it easier IMO. I also think not getting Thomas Graham and Adebo helped the possibility of landing those guys or guys like them.

Until i see them enroll somewhere else, I'm expecting Bookie, Houston and DJ Johnson of Indy at CB and Derrick Allen and Tyreke Johnson at safeties. Dream big or wake up!

Great talent.. Seems like a fit at ND during interviews and despite the terrible year he has tweeted he needs to visit ND soon.... This was about 2 months ago

The biggest key to having success in next years class is winning and keeping the guys we have. Stepp is our biggest recruiter right now we start losing and looking like shit OSU will steal him, the brothers from NJ are going to be monsters but we start losing they'll end up at Penn State or Michigan.

Hey! Where's Jurkovec going? How can you leave him out?

BTW... Ohio St doesn't want Markese. They won't take anyone below Snead and Gill. They don't need to.

Lot of talk about who the most important recruit in 2018 is. (It's Phil Jurkovec stop with the other nonsense) but beside Phil is it ASB? Is it PJ Mustipher? It might just be the kid from right next door in Chicagoland.

Luke Stampini named him the #1 Defensive player at the Adidas 7v7 tourney over 5 Stars Tyreke Johnson and Asante Samuels.

I hope the team of Denson, Lyght, Elko and Stovall are putting him at the absolute top of the list.

Would love to see his dad Howard's thoughts. They will matter in the end.

Sounds like it's still an OSU/ND battle, with recent questions on how hard OSU is pushing for him right now. If true, hopefully we are taking advantage of that. I would agree that he is a top of the board guy this cycle. Could come in to the 2 deep and compete, right away.

Depends on what u determine as important. Is it their play once on campus? Or Timi g of commitment in regards to building the class.

I'd really like to see ASB or PJ on board early and help build the class instead of being a final touch.

Very good players no doubt and I do think ASB will be a game changer at the collegiate level. However, a ready to play CB is very important to this class, especially considering we didn't even get 1 CB last cycle. Not necessarily because they'll have to play right away but in the case of an injury or two, might be called upon fairly early in their careers. Plus Houston is a heck of a talent.

My top 5 kind of realistic guys WE NEED this cycle. #1 is obviously hold on to Phil Jurkovec

1. Derrick Allen- major difference maker
2. Tyreke Johnson- seem to be a little behind but he's an elite player
3. Amon Ra St. Brown- we are in need of a #1 WR a true difference maker from anywhere on the field
4. PJ Mustipher- Instant impact on the DL, him and Darnell be nasty
5. Houston Griffith- can we please get a lockdown corner

Guys I think we need to get on campus and I could see ND making a move on

1 Tommy Brown- OL let's just take everyone from Mater Dei
2.Teradja Mitchell LB- I'm worried about David Adams
3. TJ Pledger- Think he's already been on campus but be nice to get him on again. Plus he's now at IMG
4. Palalie Gaoete- feel like he's a big OSU lean but let's make it interesting. He's my favorite LB prospect
5. KJ Henry- He's my biggest want for next year, just an absolute specimen
6. Brian Hightower- saying all the right things just need to get him and Bookie on campus from IMG
7. Tyreke Smith- I think is going to ND if OSU doesn't want him
8. Jahan Doctson- Seemed like ND made a major move last year but haven't heard anything related to ND with him
9. Ryan Hayes- for some reason I see ND winning this battle
10. Payton Wilson- I watched one minute of his highlight tape and saw enough. Going to visit OSU soon so I wouldn't be surprised if we swung in on the same week/weekend
11. Tre Douglas- same high school as Rochell
12. Jeremey Ruckett OSU and Michigan seem to be out in front. Not sure why we haven't offered but he's going to visit we are in his top 6 without an offer so he has legit interest
13. Shayne Simon- Coming here to play rover or OLB IMO and his high school coach would send every kid to ND if he could

Not sure what "kind of realistic" means lol.

Tyreke Johnson isn't coming to Notre Dame lol. There isn't enough cash flow around South Bend to bring him in.

Amon-Ra is a good player, but every program in the country has the same concern with him and that's durability. He's not big and not sure how much bigger he can get.

PJ Mustipher: Instant impact? Definitely needs a year if not two to physically develop and get stronger. Very similar to his brother and that worked out.

Derrik Allen is going to be a tough pull.

Mitchell and Henry will never step foot on campus.

Doctson needs to get things figured out off the field before Notre Dame is a take.

Ruckert got a Notre Dame offer in October.

You're slipping GB.

I said kind of realistic

Johnson has been on campus so it's not that crazy he might come back
Amon Ra fine but he's a stud
Derrick Allen- Many have stated ND leads but I still put him in there as my biggest want
Mitchell I had no idea about and I know Henry will never be on campus I was just pointing out he was my biggest want
Doctson- had no idea about but he did really like his ND visit
Ruckert- Yes, he was offered I am thinking of another TE who has ND in his top 6 but isn't offered yet and will visit this spring.
PJ Mustipher- Fine if that's what you think, but with how big of a mess our DL is adding a top 50 player I think would have a tough time not seeing the field

Teams worried about Amon Ra? LOL. Every school in the country would want him. His size is fine and will be fine. Heard this same crap about EQ his senior year. Too skinny, not strong enough, blah, blah, blah. Looked pretty damn good last year and Amon is even better.

Yep, they're so concerned that just about every program in the country is still going after him.

Apparently we can't doubt the new defensive staff when it come to recruiting (at least not yet). Mannnnnn, if they can land Griffith to what they already have I might literally shit myself.

The chance for an "elite" DB class is pretty exciting. Lyght wasn't kidding when he said it'll be easier to sell to 2018 DB's. Just what the team needed.
